The American Express will be short the two best players in the world after Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele pulled out of this week's action.

That puts the spotlight on the likes of Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay, both of whom are winless since 2022. We break down the field and more in our full American Express odds below.

While much of the excitement for this week left with Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele's withdrawals, there's still some star power to go around.

Sungjae Im (+1200) is the betting favorite, and for good reason, finishing T13 or better in each of his last five starts dating back to the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He's coming off a third-place finish at The Sentry two weeks ago.

Behind him lies a handful of stars in the +1200 to +1800 range, notably Justin Thomas (+1200), Sam Burns (+1400), and Patrick Cantlay (+1600). JT finished T3 here and shot a 61 on Saturday. Cantlay finished T52 last year but did finish runner-up in 2021.

Defending champion Nick Dunlap is on the board as long as +4500 after winning with +30000 closing odds a year ago.
