A three-week LIV Golf hiatus comes to an end with this weekend's Chicago event at Bolingbrook Golf Club.

Looking to lock down the season-long individual title, Jon Rahm is the golfer to beat this week and sits comfortably atop the LIV Golf Chicago odds board. He also highlights our free golf picks below.

LIV Golf Chicago picks and predictions

Pick to win: Jon Rahm
+500 at Caesars

Jon Rahm followed up his first LIV Golf win at the UK event with a T5 at the Olympics and a solo second at the Greenbrier event. His statistics pop and he hasn’t finished outside the Top 10 in a single LIV event this season while collecting seven Top 5s in 11 tries.

The Spaniard paces the circuit in birdies per round and greens-in-regulation percentage, while ranking sixth in putting average and eighth in scrambling percentage. It’s been a year-long clinic and Rahm can win the 2024 Individual Championship if he beats Joaquin Niemann this week.

Finishing position pick: Cam Smith Top 10
+125 at DraftKings

It’s been a sneaky finish to the season for Cam Smith as he’s rolled off four consecutive Top 10s to climb into sixth place in the year-long standings. The Aussie is third in birdies per round and first in putting average on the circuit this season, and he’s fired seven consecutive rounds sub-par rounds.

With Bolingbrook hosting a LIV event for the first time, I also particularly value his elite work on the greens and ability to put circles on the card.

Matchup pick: Louis Oosthuizen over Richard Bland
-120 at DraftKings

Richard Bland has been amid a mid-career resurgence with a pair of wins on the PGA Tour Champions and four consecutive Top 15s on the LIV Golf circuit. Still, he’s not in the same class as Louis Oosthuizen. The South African has been beyond steady with the fifth-most birdies per round while ranking first in scrambling percentage and second in putting average entering the final tournament of the season.

Oosthuizen also heads to Chi-Town with three consecutive Top 10s while ranking fifth in the season standings. Again, Bland has been solid, but he’s 19th in the standings with just a pair of Top 10s all season.

LIV Golf Chicago field and favorites

Jon Rahm's status as the No. 1 betting choice remains unchanged. He last won the UK event, finished T5 at the Olympics then finished runner-up to Brooks Koepka at the Greenbrier event in August. He's atop the board as short as +450 and as long as +500.

Bryson DeChambeau remains the second choice at +700 despite some form that's teetered off since his U.S. Open victory at Pinehurst back in June. He missed the cut at The Open before finishing T11 and T15 in his last two LIV starts.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Joaquin Niemann (+850, T15 at Greenbrier), Tyrrell Hatton (+1,000, T25), and Cam Smith (+1,400, T8). Greenbrier champ Brooks Koepka is sixth on the board at +1,600.

Bolingbrook Golf Club course notes

Bolingbrook Golf Club is a 7,076-yard Par 70 with seven lakes in play throughout the property. The tees, fairways, and greens are Bent/Poa, with Kentucky Bluegrass in the first cut and rough. This will be the first LIV Golf event at Bolingbrook, with the track characterized by its elevated tees and rolling fairways.
