The London event in early July saw Cam Smith capture his second LIV victory and as a result, he's the man to beat this week.

LIV Golf Greenbrier picks and predictions

Patrick Reed (+1,650 at Circa — 0.72 units)

The putter will be the most important club in the bag this week, which should benefit Patrick Reed immensely considering he ranks second on LIV in putting average this season.

Reed has utilized this putting excellence to notch two straight Top-5 finishes on LIV, and it's only a matter of time before he secures his first win. He also gained strokes putting in all four majors this season, finishing T18 at the PGA Championship and T4 at the Masters.

Back when he was on Tour, Reed made the cut in each of his past three appearances at The Old White.

Cameron Tringale (+2,500 at DraftKings — 0.54 units)

Cameron Tringale has been consistently knocking on the door of a win all season. He's yet to finish outside of the Top 20 this season and has finished inside the Top 10 in each of his past three starts.

An excellent greens player, Tringale ranks third in putting average, just behind Reed. He has one of the highest floors in the entire field, so 25/1 is a price I love on Tringale to finally notch that elusive win.

Tringale finished in fourth place twice through nine career appearances in The Greenbrier Classic.

Peter Uihlein (+4,000 at DraftKings — 0.36 units)

We are also going to target Reed’s teammate on 4 Aces GC, Peter Uihlein. A boom-or-bust golfer, Uihlein has struggled recently, failing to crack the Top 10 in each of his past five tournaments.

With that said, when his game is on, he's one of the best golfers on LIV, and I believe now is the time to buy low. He started the season off in dominant fashion, posting four straight Top-10 finishes, including a runner-up performance at Mayakoba.

In fact, no one else on LIV has come as close as Uihlein to winning without actually doing so, evidenced by his three runner-up finishes since joining the rival circuit last year. This venue could be the spot where he finally claims that win, considering he's tied for fourth on LIV this season in putting average.

Uihlein made the cut in his last appearance at The Old White.

Pat Perez (+6,500 at Circa — 0.18 units)

The final guy to target in the outright market is yet another 4 Aces GC member, Pat Perez. Coming off his second-best performance of the season with a sixth-place finish in London, Perez looks to carry that momentum into this week’s tournament.

An excellent putter, Perez is tied for ninth in putting average on LIV this season. The Old White was therefore, unsurprisingly, a strong venue for Perez, who is 5/5 on made cuts here with two Top-10 finishes.

LIV Golf Greenbrier field and favorites

Cam Smith's been riding a heater through the spring and summer months, with eight straight Top-12 finishes culminating in a win at LIV Golf London in early July. That streak did, however, come to an end with just a T33 at Hoylake.

With that said, that form has him comfortably atop the LIV Golf Greenbrier odds board at +650, with Brooks Koepka (+900) the only other with better than 14/1 odds to win this weekend.

Koepka won the Orlando event back in April, finished runner-up at the Masters, and captured his fifth major title at the PGA in May. It's been a strong season for him thus far despite finishing just T64 in his last start (The Open).

Below that duo at the top are Talor Gooch and Dustin Johnson at 14/1 apiece. These two have combined for five LIV wins, including three in his last six tries from Gooch, who's seen his outright price continue to drop during this run (closed at 25/1 in Adelaide in April).

London runner-up Patrick Reed rounds out the Top 5 at +1,600.

The Old White at The Greenbrier course notes

The Old White at The Greenbrier hosts LIV Golf in its 10th event of the season following last month’s tournament in London. This course is hosting LIV Golf for the first time, but you may remember it for serving as the venue of the Greenbrier Classic on the PGA Tour from 2010 to 2019.

A Par-70, 7,286-yard track (yardage subject to change) designed by Charles B. MacDonald, The Old White rewards strong putters, at least based on the nine times it hosted Tour events. In fact, the last two winners of the Greenbrier Classic were Joaquin Niemann and Kevin Na, two guys who return to the course this week as members of LIV Golf.
