Two rounds of the 2022 Masters are in the books, and now we look forward to “Moving Day” on Saturday. Expect the calmer weather conditions to help scores go lower.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler showed why he’s the best golfer right now with a blistering 5-under par 67, to get to 8-under and a five-stroke lead over Charl Schwartzel, Sungjae Im, defending champion Hideki Matsuyama, and Shane Lowry.
We now look at Saturday’s third round and give you three best bets for the day.

Best 2022 Masters Round 3 picks
Tiger Woods Top 10 Finish (+350)
When Tiger Woods started his second round on Friday, he was four shots off the lead and it looked like he would make a run. However, he started with four bogeys in his first five holes, and instead of challenging for the lead, he was looking at missing the cut.
Woods turned it around, scratching out a back nine 1-under 35 to finish with a 2-over 74 and tied with three others at 19th. What Friday showed was that he was not in any noticeable physical duress from his near-fatal car accident a year ago. He said he wasn’t sure how his body would hold up, but so far it hasn’t been an issue.
Tiger's second-round score would have been lower if some makeable putts would have fallen. Still, despite a poorer putting day, he is still tied for 11th in putting for the tournament. Also, he hit 10 of 14 fairways in the second round, an improvement over his first round. What gives Woods the advantage of playing the weekend is he knows exactly what to expect, and what he needs to do.
Will he win? I don’t think so, but he will contend and a finish on Sunday in the Top 10 is a distinct possibility.
Best odds: +350 at DraftKings
Winning score -11 or better (+110)
Scottie Scheffler finished the second round for a two-day total of 8 under. If Scheffler doesn’t get to 11-under by the end of Saturday, it will be a shock. He has had just three bogeys over two rounds. For three of the last four Masters, the winning score has been well over -11 under.
Last year, Hideki Matsuyama finished at -10 under. With rain forecast for Friday evening, Augusta National will lose its defense of fast, dried-out greens. Golfers will be able to throw darts at the hole and birdies should be all over the golf course.
Four golfers right behind Scheffler are at 3-under. One of them getting to 11-under will be difficult, but not impossible, especially with the soft conditions. No wind and receptive greens are a recipe for lower scores.
Best odds: +110 at FanDuel
Dustin Johnson outright winner (+1,200)
Right now, it looks like Scheffler has built an insurmountable lead, but leads have been known to vanish at Augusta National; Greg Norman, white courtesy phone.
If Scheffler falters, Dustin Johnson could jump up to the top of the leaderboard. The 37-year-old won the 2020 Masters and finished tied for second in 2019. Since 2015, he has two more Top 10s. He is currently tied for sixth after two rounds, six strokes behind Scheffler.
The most telling statistic has been fairways hit. On Thursday, Johnson was eight of 14. Friday, in much worse conditions, he was 10 of 14.
And when he does miss the fairway, he has scored par or better 100% of the time. Johnson has been in this situation before and Scheffler hasn't. With Scheffler getting +140 to win and Johnson fetching +1,200, the value play is definitely Johnson.
Best odds: +1,200 at Caesars
