The first major championship of the 2025 season is finally here, and all eyes will be on Augusta National Golf Course this week for the Masters.

It’s always a star-studded field of the world’s best competing for the Green Jacket, and the Masters odds are headlined by defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

Grand Slam hopeful Rory McIlroy and 2023 champ Jon Rahm are positioned just behind Scheffler, with two-time major champ Collin Morikawa and reigning U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau rounding out the top of the board. Here’s a look at the golf odds as of Tuesday, April 8.

2025 Masters odds

2025 Masters odds analysis

The Masters odds are available year-round, and it’s been a two-horse race at the top of the board with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy consensus betting favorites. McIlroy’s price dropped following his wins at the AT&T Pebble Beach and THE PLAYERS, with the Northern Irishman down to +650 or lower depending on the shop.

Rory is also a top Masters pick ahead of the season's first major, and BetMGM reported he has the highest ticket count and betting handle, as of Monday morning.

Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas have also seen their odds shorten leading into the event despite neither picking up a victory to start the 2025 PGA Tour season. Still, both have flashed at Augusta National and enter in strong form.

Scottie Scheffler odds

Scottie Scheffler is a two-time Masters winner and is coming off a solid T2 finish at the Houston Open last week. It’s no surprise he’s the betting favorite at the top of odds lists, and he hasn’t finished outside of the Top 25 across six events this season.

His betting odds have hovered around +400, and there’s unlikely a meaningful move coming to his numbers ahead of Round 1 on Thursday. Just remember, only three players have won the Masters in back-to-back years.

Rory McIlroy odds

Sure, the near misses are adding up, but Rory McIlroy continues to consistently contend on the biggest stages. He’s rolled off three worldwide wins and another five Top-5 finishes through 11 events since wrapping up his 2024 PGA Tour season, and his statistical profile jumps off the page.

His odds took a big hit after winning THE PLAYERS and have settled in the +650 range following a T5 finish in the Houston Open. There is potential for his number to shorten even further if he continues to take a significant percentage of the betting handle.

Jon Rahm odds

You're not paying attention if you don’t know what you’re getting from Jon Rahm by now. The 2023 Masters champion has carded five consecutive Top 10s to begin the LIV Golf season, which brings him up to 17 straight Top 10s since joining the circuit.

While Rahm finished a ho-hum T45 in the 2024 Masters, he wrapped up last summer with a T7 at The Open Championship and T5 at the Olympics. There’s a definite case that the two-time major champion is flying under the radar, and he’s widely available at +1400, as of Tuesday morning.
