The Super Bowl is prime time for promotional offers and potentially boosting your bankroll. It will also be prime time for Rob Gronkowski in his second attempt at FanDuel's "Kick of Destiny."

The four-time Super Bowl champion and retired NFL tight end will attempt a 25-yard field goal before the Super Bowl kicks off, on CBS. Bettors will have until Sunday at 5:45 p.m. ET to make their pick on the FanDuel app on whether he makes it or misses. Those who are right will split $10 million in bonus bets. Winners should see their bonus bet on Monday.

By Saturday evening, 69% of Canadians (54,333) had voted yes on Gronk hitting the kick, while 30% (23,572) want to see a repeat of last year’s miss. For those who have yet to pick, you can either side with the public or take the risk for a larger bonus bet (since fewer bettors would split the $10 million pool) if it doesn’t go in.

A live tracker of the votes is not available on the FanDuel app in the U.S.

Gronk’s redemption

The first kick, made during the last Super Bowl, missed far left, so fans are expecting an improved showing from Gronk.

"I can't lie, when I missed the Kick of Destiny during last year's Super Bowl, it was devastating. I told the team at FanDuel I knew I could do better and needed a shot at redemption this year," said Gronkowski.

But now under a redemption arc, all eyes are on Gronk to split the uprights, and bettors are jumping on the narrative as well.

In an interview earlier this week, he spoke about the upcoming kick.

“The pressure is getting to me ... I really wasn’t thinking about the kick, I was thinking about the interviews more,” he said.

Gronk has been in the public eye of late, since the Kick of Destiny 2 was announced, including being at the New York Stock Exchange for FanDuel’s new IPO.
