Address: 2831 Boardwalk Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Phone number: 609-340-4022

The William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana Atlantic City, like many of the other properties in the area, took its first bet at a temporary setup in October 2018 but has since completed an impressive 5,000-foot permanent sportsbook on the North Tower casino floor. The sportsbook is located directly across from Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar.

Like most sportsbooks, the first thing that catches your attention as you approach the book is the main video wall, but it really stands out at Tropicana as it is one of the biggest and best in all of New Jersey. In total, there is 1,654 square feet of screen that wrap around three of the four walls of the sportsbook and the book can show up to 16 sporting events at once.

The fourth wall features most of the odds boards and, below it, the betting counter, where there are six windows and two high-limit windows. There are also two self-betting kiosks that are incredibly simple to use: simply put in your cash, make your bet(s), and wait for your ticket to print.

The main seating area is directly below the main video wall and gives bettors the option of leather sofas and armchairs or high-top table seating with bar seats. There is also an elevated VIP area with leather sofas placed together for small or large groups. The VIP area costs $50 per head but is free for those with a Tropicana Black Card or a William Hill VIP card. Behind the VIP area is a drink rail with bar seating that runs the length of the sportsbook.

Thirsty bettors will be happy to know that the back wall of the sportsbook borders the 10 North Lounge, which offers a full bar menu, is smoker friendly, and is open 24 hours a day (except between 2 am and 7 am on Wednesdays). There isn’t a dedicated food menu for the sportsbook but bettors are welcome to bring in outside food. Nearby restaurants include Chickie’s and Pete’s, A Damn Good Sports Bar, Hooters, and Ri Ra Irish Pub.

The William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana, with its amazing wrap-around video wall, is already one of the top sportsbooks in Atlantic City and is definitely worth a visit. And, with plans to build an escalator that goes directly from the sportsbook to the Boardwalk, visiting will soon become that much easier.

Does William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana Atlantic City have an online app?

How to get free drinks at the sportsbook?

The William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana does not currently offer free drinks to sports bettors. However, the sportsbook is very close to the casino floor, so a sports bettor could put a few dollars into a slot machine, order a free drink, and then bring it into the sportsbook area.

How old do you need to be to enter the sportsbook?

As with all sportsbooks in New Jersey, bettors must be 21 years of age or older.

Is smoking allowed in the sportsbook?

There is no smoking allowed in the sportsbook but smoking is allowed at the sportsbook bar, which is located right next to the sportsbook and has its own TVs and some views of the sportsbook video walls.

How do you make a bet at the sportsbook?

There are three ways to make a sports bet at the sportsbook:

  • At the betting window. Be sure to have the rotation number of the bet you want to make before getting to the window.
  • At a self kiosk. These are very easy to use and function similarly to an online sportsbook. Just put your cash in, choose your bet, and wait for your ticket to be printed.
  • Online. Sign up for the William Hill New Jersey Mobile Sports and make bets without having to leave your seat!
