The leader of the Free World is going with chalk this March Madness.

U.S. President Joe Biden announced this week that he likes UConn, North Carolina, Houston, and Tennessee to reach the Final Four in his NCAA men’s basketball tournament bracket released in a social media post

“Folks, it’s time for college basketball’s biggest tournament,” Biden wrote on Instagram. “I wish the best of luck to all of the teams competing.”

For the event that started Thursday, that’s three No. 1 seeds and a No. 2 for Biden, who went with the Huskies to capture their second consecutive national championship, this time in a win over Houston.

Biden had the top four seeds in his Sweet 16 in all but the South Region, where he took a flyer on NC State. Biden picked several other double-digit seeded teams to advance past the first round including New Mexico, College of Charleston, and McNeese State.

On the women’s side, Biden went with South Carolina, UConn, UCLA, and Stanford with the undefeated Gamecocks knocking off the Bruins to win it all.

Biden, who’s carrying on the tradition of the President filling out a bracket started by Barack Obama, went 0-for-2 last year when he picked Arizona for the men’s tourney and Villanova on the women’s side.

No limb

The U.S. President didn’t go out on much of a limb with his bracket.

UConn entered the NCAA tournament as the +360 favorites at DraftKings this week. The Huskies were also the most selected team to win it all in the bet365 bracket challenge.

NC State, meanwhile, was the underdog with the most bets and handle at DraftKings.

The South Carolina women’s team entered the week as a -145 favorite to cut down the nets.
