Well-known Canadian legal sports betting and gaming site Sports Interaction is in the midst of an upgrade to its betting platform.

Sports Interaction has been down while it prepares to launch a site upgrade, but SIA thinks "Version 2.0" of its betting platform will be worth the wait.

Once it is up and running — which should be by 7:00 pm ETA — SIA app users will need to upgrade to the newest version. But that might be the only thing users will need to do.

The upgrade will preserve usernames, passwords, and account balance information. Users with open wagers during the transition will get emails about their status, and bets placed before the site maintenance may take up to eight hours after the event concludes to officially process.

Like many online betting sites, SIA is enhancing its same game parlays, live betting options, and scaling up the number of its player props. The new version will feature over 1,000 new casino games, and SIA will also be adding ApplePay to its payment options for IOS users.

However, SIA will be withdrawing The Racebook. Additionally, any unused bet credits or bonus funds will no longer exist in the new version as SIA is doing a total revamp to its reward and bonus program. There will be new reward types and promotions offered in V2.0, and users will specifically have to “opt-in” to participate in promotions.

Got questions? SIA has a full page of FAQs in relation to the new upgrade.
