Swiftie Specials are Taking Over Super Bowl Bets. Are You Ready For It?

Sportsbooks are once again taking bets on a number of Taylor Swift topics, from the amount of times she'll be shown during the Super Bowl broadcast to whether Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will propose after the game.

Travis Kelce is heading to the Super Bowl once again, but talk of his world-famous girlfriend is already threatening to outshine the star player.

Sportsbooks are getting in on the action, with a whole host of Taylor Swift prop bets being offered on what the singer will or won’t do in the run-up to Super Bowl LIX.

It’s a Love Story

One of the bets attracting the most attention in recent days is the question of a proposal – and whether that might happen with the whole world watching.

Sportsbooks are offering novelty bets on the chance of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end getting down on one knee immediately after the Super Bowl, with FanDuel offering odds of +750 on a proposal that really would send Taylormania into overdrive. But the sportsbook clearly doesn’t think a huge romantic gesture like this is actually on the cards, because it’s offering odds on the absence of that proposal at -1,500.

Of course, for a proposal to happen on the field, you’d expect that the Chiefs would also need to win the Super Bowl, and with the team currently just a 1.5-point favorite, that alone is far from a certainty.

Gold rush of Swiftie Specials at the sportsbooks

It’s not just Swift and Kelce’s relationship that’s inspiring themed Super Bowl bets at the moment. Sportsbooks like DraftKings have taken inspiration from the singer’s greatest hits to create a whole range of Swiftie-themed bets on the game.

Current Swiftie Specials being offered by DraftKings include “Is It Over Now?: KC Chiefs to Lead by 14+ points” which is offered at +225, “Look What You Made Me Do: Travis Kelce to Have 4+ Receptions in Each Half” at +500 and “…Ready For It?: Travis Kelce to Score on KC Chiefs 1st Drive” at +1,100.

The swift-themed bets don’t only center on what Kelce will or won’t do in the game, either. There are also themed bets like “Anti-Hero: Jalen Hurts to Throw 3+ Pass TDs & Score 1+ Rush TD” at +1,600 and “Mastermind: Patrick Mahomes to Have 400+ Pass Yards” at +3,500.

Our current favorite has got to be the brilliantly titled “Wildest Dreams” bet, though. That’s Travis Kelce to score both the first and last TD - at odds of +9,000!

Bet365 has a range of Swift-inspired bets available, too. Current offers include “Blank Space” for a scoreless first quarter, at odds of +700, and “Electric Touch” for Kelce to score on his first reception, at odds of +1,800.

Deja Vu bets on Taylor appearing at halftime

Odds are being offered on every aspect of Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance, from his first and last song to guest appearances. And just like last year, talk is turning to the likelihood of Swift gracing the crowds with a performance of one of her chart-toppers.

Of course, there’s a small chance that Swift could join Lamar on the field to perform on the day, but sportsbooks think it’s unlikely that Swift would overshadow her beau by performing at the Super Bowl for the first time this year.

Currently, FanDuel’s odds of Taylor Swift taking to the stage at halftime are +750.

Will TV crews be Enchanted with Swift again this year?

Sportsbooks are taking bets on the number of times Swift will appear on TV screens during the Super Bowl, and with Taylormania still going strong all over the world, it seems likely that Swift will appear on screen quite a few times on the day.

The odds of cameras centering on Taylor over 6.5 times are currently -150. This bet is far from a shot in the dark, either, because previous history suggests that Swift will appear quite a few times more than this.

Last year, Taylor appeared on screen 12 times, for a total of 54 seconds. We can’t see producers not giving the Swifties what they want again this year.

Blank Space for U.S. fans wanting to bet on Swiftie Specials

Fans in the U.S. might be disappointed to hear that bets are not being taken on any Swiftie Specials in America. These bets are only open to those based in Canada and elsewhere at present.
