Tuesdays are for betting on home run props.

The unofficial-official day to bet on MLB player props for homers is the middle of the week — with several sportsbooks offering specific betting promotions related to long balls.

However, none are as popular as FanDuel's Dinger Tuesday, where for two different games, you place a $25 bet on a player to hit a home run and get $5 in bonus bets for every total home run hit in that game (regardless of who hits 'em).

I'll break down the best games to target, including a starting pitcher breakdown and best player values, for Dinger Tuesday tonight, June 25.

Best home run props and odds for FanDuel Dinger Tuesday

Twins at Diamondbacks (Chase Field, 9:40 p.m. ET)
(All stats last 30 days)

Pitcher HR/9 HR/FB% FB%
Twins Joe Ryan (RHP) 1.37 12.2 46.7
Diamondbacks Brandon Pfaadt (RHP) 1.09 10.3 40.5

Surprise, I'm targeting the Minnesota Twins and Arizona Diamondbacks — both teams sit in the Top 10 of HRs surrendered. As an added bonus, Minnesota is the only team on that list at the top of the HRs hit at fourth

The pitching matchup is set up for some big flys. Minnesota’s Joe Ryan has allowed 14 long balls in his 92 innings of work, including at least a dinger in four straight outings. Ryan also sports a healthy 46.7 FB%.

He’ll go toe-to-toe with Brandon Pfaadt, who’s surrendered 11 dingers on the season, including four in his last three starts. Pfaadt has been tagged with six homers on the left side and five on the right, though lefties are hitting at a significantly higher clip of .303.

Hitters to target - Twins
* = best price available

  • Carlos Santana, SH (+560) - One of two Twins that have gotten an AB against Pfaadt, going 2-for-4. Sporting a career-best 44.4% FB rate in his 15th season. Seven of 12 long balls have been off righties.
  • *Will Castro, SH (+800) - Went deep last series against the A’s, though this will be his first time facing Pfaadt. Castro’s 9% HR/FB rate tied for the second-highest mark in his career.

Hitters to target - Diamondbacks

  • Lourdes Gurriel Jr, RH (+560) - Most recently went yard two games ago with his 10th of the year against the Phillies. He’s yet to face Ryan in his career, but Gurriel’s 40% FB rate is the second-highest in his career.
  • Christian Walker, RH (+420) - ‘Zona’s top HR hitter on the year, went homerless in the last series against Philly, breaking a streak of long balls in four straight sets. His 47.7% FB rate is highest figure in six seasons.
  • Ketel Marte, SH (+560) - Second on the D-Backs in homers, but he’s only connected twice in his last 10 outings. However, he is delivering a career-best HR/FB rate of 20.5%.

Best betting value: Christian Walker (+420 at FanDuel)

Guardians at Orioles (Oriole Park at Camden Yards, 6:35 p.m. ET)
(All stats last 30 days)

Pitcher HR/9 HR/FB% FB%
Guardians Logan Allen (LHP) 1.78 16.3 39.3
Orioles Cole Irvin (LHP) 0.99 8.3 41

The target here is Cleveland Guardians’ starter Logan Allen squaring off with the Baltimore Orioles, the top HR-hitting team in baseball with 125 dingers.

Allen has been taken yard in four of his last five starts, and it’s his first start against the O’s this season.

Cole Irvin isn’t exactly a pitcher you would target on most nights, but the Guardians have held their own against lefties: their 27 long balls on the year are good for seventh. Irvin has been taken yard three times in his last four starts.

Hitters to target - Guardians
* = best price available

  • *Jose Ramirez, SH (+420) - Went yard against the Orioles on the series opener, giving him two long balls in the last three games. Facing a righty in Irving, they’ve hit the O’s starter to the tune of .293, with seven of eight home runs.
  • Josh Naylor, LH (+500) - A game removed from his last dinger to put him up to 20 on the year. Naylor is ripping his previous best HR/FB with a smashing 24.7% rate — nearly 10 points better than his previous high.

Hitters to target - Orioles

  • *Anthony Santander, SH (+350) - Six HR in last nine games, pushing him to 20 on the season. Santander’s 54.9% FB rate highest in his career and 16.3% HR/FB rate second-best mark ever.
  • Gunnar Henderson, LH (+470) - Even with the lefty-on-lefty matchup, it’s hard to keep Henderson off the target list. He’s holding his own with a .273 average, and four of his 20 dingers are on that side of the plate. Henderson is sporting a wicked HR/FB rate of 32%.

Best betting value: Anthony Santander (+350 at FanDuel)
