With March Madness concluded and the NBA regular season winding down, more and more attention is turning toward MLB player props.
Here are a few for the slate on Wednesday, April 9.
Best MLB player props today

MLB props for April 9
Antonio Senzatela Under 2.5 strikeouts (+130 at DraftKings)
Antonio Senzatela has never been a strikeout pitcher, a risky reality for someone who has spent his entire nine-year career with the Colorado Rockies. His strikeout rate has not been higher than 15.7% since his first two seasons, and even 15.7% was a one-year blip in 2021. Five of his last six seasons have hung with rates around 13.3%.
Through two games, his 2025 rate is even lower, notching just three strikeouts in more than nine innings.
His first start at home should not match that total, certainly not in what is expected to be a high-scoring game. Of tonight’s games, this is the only one with a run total higher than 8.5, and its 10.5 is slightly juiced to the Over. Senzatela’s outing may be too short to even flirt with a third strikeout.
If he throws five full innings, this will be a sweat, but the plus-money value of the Under provides enough intrigue to risk that sweat.
Bobby Witt Jr. 1+ hits (-260 at DraftKings)
Some consideration was given to betting on Bobby Witt Jr. to go hitless at +190 at DraftKings. Value, right? But while digging into it, trust in Witt was found.
He has notched a hit in nine of 11 games thus far this season, an improvement over what was already a trait of consistency.
Witt registered at least one hit in 129 of 162 games last year. Even that rate — 79.6% — would argue for taking this -260 juice today, a price that implies a 72.2% probability. But if Witt has bettered his consistency, then this is of immense value.
A price of -260 thus must put some faith into Minnesota Twins starter Joe Ryan, but his workload may still be limited to around five innings, leaving the vulnerable bullpen behind him on the line against Witt.
Kyle Schwarber Over 0.5 RBI (+165 at DraftKings)
The headlines about Kyle Schwarber focus on his home runs, having already clobbered five this season, just one behind Aaron Judge’s prodigious start. And of Schwarber’s 11 RBI, eight have come via the long ball.
But pricing this Over as high as +165 argues too aggressively that home runs are the only way Schwarber can notch an RBI. Obviously, that is not the case.
He has knocked in a run in six of 10 games thus far this season, and facing Atlanta Braves starter Grant Holmes should not bother Schwarber much. Frankly, starting Holmes makes it clear the Braves will lean into their bullpen today, likely only aiding Schwarber. Still, he'll probably get two cracks at Holmes while maintaining the lefty-righty platoon advantage.
