It’s a busy Monday MLB slate, with 14 games to consider. Prop bettors face a dizzying array of available wagers, plenty of which are tempting, but we’ve done the dirty work to narrow things down to three top plays.
First, we like the chances of a rookie pitcher to record a win in the midwest. Then we’ll back an RBI prop in an NL East showdown. Finally, we’ll discuss the chances of the son of a famous big leaguer going north of his total bases line.
Here are our best MLB player prop bets for Monday, August 15.

Ryan rankles Royals
Joe Ryan is 2-0 in two starts against the Kansas City Royals in his rookie season, and he should make it a perfect 3-for-3 on Monday night.
The Minnesota Twins right-hander has seen his ERA rise from 3.00 to 3.95 since the start of July, but there are extenuating circumstances. He was tagged for five runs by the Los Angeles Dodgers when last seen, and 10 runs by the San Diego Padres on July 29. Those offenses pack plenty more firepower than the Royals.
Both of those disastrous outings were on the road, but Ryan has authored an intimidating 2.92 ERA and .184 opponent batting average at Minnesota's Target Field in 2022. In his five other outings in his most recent seven-start span, Ryan owns a 2.00 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP.
The Twins should afford Ryan a comfortable early lead against Royals hurler Kris Bubic as Luis Arraez, Byron Buxton, Jake Cave, and Jorge Polanco are a combined 15-for-29 (.517) all-time against the divisional rival.
Joe Ryan Prop: To record a win (-105)
Lindor halts Spencer's stride
Atlanta Braves rookie Spencer Strider will make his first start against the New York Mets since his controversial comments following a terrible outing against them last Sunday (2 2-3 innings, four earned runs allowed) in which he described their offense as lucky rather than good.
Prop bettors should back Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor to make Strider eat those words on Monday night.
Lindor has four hits in seven prior at-bats against the Braves right-hander with a triple and an RBI. Strider wasn’t the only Atlanta hurler victimized by him in that five-game series, as Lindor went 8-for-18 (.444) with a double and three runs driven in.
The switch-hitting shortstop recently broke the Mets’ single-season club record for RBIs at the position and still has a long way to go in 2022. Lindor’s 82 RBI rank sixth in the major leagues and he tacked on his 12th of August in a 6-0 drubbing of the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon.
Lindor and the Mets shouldn’t be lacking motivation in this one — look for the Puerto Rico native to jump-start New York's offense on the road.
Francisco Lindor Prop: Over 0.5 RBI (+190)
Bo goes bananas
Bettors shouldn’t anticipate Bo Bichette and the Toronto Blue Jays taking it easy on Baltimore Orioles starter Kyle Bradish tonight.
Bradish owns a horrid 6.42 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through 61 2-3 innings of work this season. His numbers against the Blue Jays are particularly awful, as he’s produced a 7.45 ERA and .359 opponent batting average against Toronto (9 2-3 innings).
Bichette has beaten up Bradish this year, going 2-for-5 with a home run but we won’t just rely on that small sample size. Bichette began August by going 11-for-35 (.314) at the plate before taking an 0-for-6 in two games against the Cleveland Guardians. He then had Sunday off to get that out of his system.
Bichette is slugging .447 against righties this year compared to a .338 mark against southpaws. He has a good chance to get to two total bases with his first hit in this one.
Bo Bichette Prop: Over 1.5 total bases (+110)
