DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 17
Tyler Herro 24.5 Points: MORE
With Jimmy Butler on his way out, this is becoming Tyler Herro’s team. The Kentucky product is on a heater at the moment, scoring 30+ in three straight games.
The 24-year-old dropped 34 on the Lakers in a loss on Wednesday and, just days before that, posted another 32 against the Clippers. While Herro does average fewer points at home as opposed to on the road, he scored 24 against the Nuggets earlier in the season and has averaged more than 25 ppg in January.
Jayson Tatum 25.5 Points: MORE
Jayson Tatum has compiled more than 25.5 points in three of his previous five appearances and showed out for 38 on January 12 before a terrible 16-point showing on Wednesday in a loss to the Raptors — arguably his worst performance of the campaign.
While that’s one reason I expect him to bounce back, it’s not the only one. He also averaged 26.3 points per game against the Magic last season in three games.
Damian Lillard 6.5 Assists: MORE
Damian Lillard is averaging 25 ppg, but it's his playmaking taking the spotlight for this entry. He leads the Bucks with 7.2 assists per night and has dished out more than 6.5 dimes in three of his previous five outings.
Milwaukee faces the lowly Raptors tonight and Dame averaged 8.3 assists against them last season in three contests.
Nikola Vucevic 11.5 Rebounds: MORE
Nikola Vucevic is having a fantastic season, and he’s truly a dominant figure on the glass, averaging 10.4 boards per night.
He’s easily grabbed more than 11.5 rebounds in three of his last four, compiling 16 and 15 across the last two games. Chicago takes on the Hornets here, and Vooch had 13 rebounds against them in late December.
Jalen Brunson 26.5 Points: MORE
Jalen Brunson has scored more than 26.5 points in three consecutive and it wasn’t even close.
The guard has put up 38, 31, and 44 points over the last five days. Brunson is playing with a boatload of confidence right now and even though he hasn’t played great against Minnesota, you cannot ignore this hot streak.
Trey Murphy 3.5 Threes: LESS
I know most of today’s entries are banking on every player showing out to a certain extent, so we’ll end that with the last one.
Trey Murphy averages 3.1 threes on 8.7 attempts per game for a 35.7% clip from downtown. The Pelicans wing has drained less than 3.5 triples in three of his last five appearances.
In January, he’s converting an average of 3.3 treys per game. New Orleans faces the Jazz tonight and Murphy didn’t shoot it well at all against them last season, sinking a mere 2.5 triples in two outings.
