Bucks at Suns player prop picks analysis
Chris Paul Under 2.5 Turnovers (-145)
The "Point God" Chris Paul has been exactly what the Suns needed to put their young team over the top. Even at 36 years old, the 11-time All-Star is still a dynamic scorer, fantastic passer, and pesky defender. But his biggest strength might be his painstaking ability to take care of the ball.
CP3 is coming off an incredible performance in the West Conference Finals against the Clippers, scoring 41 points and dishing out eight assists without turning the ball over even once. He has comitted two or fewer turnovers in 11 of his last 12 playoff games.
Expect his experience and steady ball-handling lead the way in Game 1 and take the Under 2.5 on his turnovers.
Devin Booker Under 27.5 Points (-103)
Devin Booker is finally getting credit as one of the best shooting guards in the league and has sizzled during the playoffs, putting up 27 points per game. That said, the Over/Under of 27.5 for his points in Game 1 might be a tad too high. Keep in mind that Booker has scored 25 or fewer points in four of his last five games and averaged 25.6 ppg during the regular season.
The Bucks have also played very well defensively during the playoffs, holding opponents to 103.7 ppg on 44.2 percent shooting from the field. They also rarely send opponents to the charity stripe, with Milwaukee giving foes a league-low 18.4 free throws attempted per game during the regular season and playoffs.
Booker is at his best when he can get to the line, and in three of his last seven games, he attempted at least 11 free throws — scoring over 30 points in two of those contests. Expect fewer trips to the free throw line for Booker in this series and fade him on his points total on Tuesday.
P.J. Tucker Over 6.5 Rebounds (+114)
When (and perhaps if) Giannis does return to the court it won't be at the expense of P.J. Tucker who has become a crucial piece of the Bucks' starting lineup. After being acquired by Milwaukee in a March trade, Tucker has gradually taken a bigger role with his new team and has logged more than 30 minutes in seven of his last nine games.
While a lot of what Tucker does isn't necessarily going to translate to the stat sheet, he has been gobbling up rebounds lately. The veteran has grabbed seven or more rebounds in six of his last seven games, which includes three contests where he played alongside Giannis in the Bucks' frontcourt.
With Antetokounmpo likely out for Game 1, Milwaukee will need Tucker, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez to compete harder on the glass. Take the Over 6.5 on Tucker's rebounds total.
