Cavaliers vs Heat Props & Best Bets for Today

Donovan isn't the only Mitchell in line for a big Saturday as the Cavs battle the Heat. Look for Davion Mitchell to clear a low point bar, per our NBA betting picks.

The scene shifts to South Beach, where the Miami Heat will try to claw their way back into their series with the Cleveland Cavaliers after dropping both games in Ohio.

Our Cavaliers vs. Heat props are starting with Cleveland’s all-star guard Donovan Mitchell, who has been the centerpiece of the Cavs’ offense so far. Our April 26 NBA picks will also discuss potential contributions for Davion Mitchell and Jarrett Allen.

Best Cavaliers vs Heat props

  • Cavs Do. Mitchell o25.5 pts (-115)
  • Heat Da. Mitchell o11.5 pts (-110)
  • Cavs J. Allen o0.5 blks (-155)

Cavaliers vs Heat player props for April 26

Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 points (-115 at bet365)

Donovan Mitchell has gone for back-to-back 30-point games in this series, pacing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ offense, which currently leads the playoffs with a 121-point scoring average. Mitchell is shooting a crisp 52.5% from the field, and a blistering 47.4% from 3-point range.

It was his post-game interview following their 121-112 win that has me taking him to hit the Over in Game 3. Mitchell said that he was still rusty and trying to find his rhythm — he sat out the final five games of the year with an ankle injury and Cleveland sat during play-in week — and was just starting to feel himself again.

This is a guy who has now topped his 25.5 line set for Saturday in six of his last seven against the Miami Heat. Look for that trend to continue.

Davion Mitchell Over 11.5 points (-110 at bet365)

While the Jimmy Butler trade was obviously the biggest deal the Miami Heat made, the most impactful was a little sidebar deal that netted them Davion Mitchell from the Toronto Raptors at the deadline.

Mitchell is by far Miami’s best perimeter defender, and his offense has been much welcomed for a team that ranked in the bottom half in league scoring. He’s averaging 18 points in this series, hitting that exact figure in both games while shooting an incredible 71.4% from the field.

There’s bound to be some regression, but the books have dropped Mitchell down to a total of 11.5 points on Saturday.

Davion has put up two of his highest scoring totals in April, but he’s been a consistent scorer in double digits. In fact, he’s scored at least 12 points in 14 of his last 18 games with the Heat. I’d bang the Over on this one.

Jarrett Allen Over 0.5 blocks (-155 at bet365)

Let’s wrap with Cleveland big man Jarrett Allen and his rim-protecting prop, set at a very attainable 0.5 for Saturday. It’s a number he’s already passed in both games this series, with one block in both games.

That’s about right for his career average against Miami, as he’s totaled 26 blocks in 25 regular season games, including at least one block in nine of 15 games vs. the Heat as a member of the Cavaliers.

Allen hasn’t been in foul trouble, and he’s averaged better than 30 minutes per game in the series so far.

Miami is not shy pounding it inside, ranking sixth in paint points so far in the playoffs. I just like the odds of Allen getting his paw on one of those attempts.
