What the Memphis Grizzlies continue to do despite having to deal with a multitude of injuries has been nothing short of amazing.
Much has been made of the Grizzlies' record when star point guard Ja Morant doesn’t play, but to beat the NBA’s best team while missing four starters is simply incredible.
But, now that the Grizz are getting some reinforcements, how will they be able to navigate against the Utah Jazz as slight road underdogs?

Grizzlies vs Jazz picks and predictions
Our side and total predictions are based upon our analysis of the line and total in this game. Our best bet is our favorite pick across all markets.
Spread analysis
There has much been made about the Grizzlies' record without Ja Morant. They are an almost unfathomable 20-2 straight up without their star point guard, but almost more impressively, they are 19-3 against the spread in those matchups.
That record is a testament to the Grizzlies' depth and the job head coach Taylor Jenkins has done. As a result, the Grizzlies now sit in second place in the West.
The most impressive part about this run by the Grizzlies is the way they have still been able to generate offense without Morant. Over this latest seven-game winning streak without Morant, the team is putting up 124.4 points per game. That’s the second-best mark in the NBA over that span.
Morant and Dillon Brooks will most likely be out tonight but Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, Stephen Adams, and Tyus Jones all appear to be ready to return for this matchup against the Jazz.
Speaking of the Jazz, this team does not make the same music we are used to. When we think of Utah, we usually think of defense and some timely shooting. But that’s not the case anymore.
The Jazz actually have the top offense in the NBA this season per offensive rating while the defense ranks middle of the pack (12th). It seems relying more on offense has led to inconsistencies as they sit in sixth and aren’t clear of the play-in tournament to this point.
Right now, that defense is costing them. They are 1-6 SU over their last seven games with the lone win coming against the lowly Lakers, ranking 28th in defensive rating over that span.
The Jazz have coughed up multiple double-digit leads and it’s just impossible to trust them to cover as favorites here. Take the points with the Grizz as dogs.
Prediction: Grizzlies +6 (-112 FanDuel)
Over/Under analysis
When it comes to the total, we’ve missed the best number for backing the Over, but 226 is still low enough to still lean that way.
The Grizzlies have been one of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA over their seven-game winning streak, putting up 124.4 points per game, and they shouldn’t have much trouble getting out and running against the current form of this Jazz team.
They are allowing 114.7 points per game over this slump while ranking 28th in opponent field goal percentage, allowing teams to hit 51.2% of their attempts.
Meanwhile, the Jazz rank seventh in scoring (113.4 points per game), and are a solid 3-point shooting team, ranking eighth in field goal percentage from deep.
There should be enough offense in this one to sneak above this number.
Prediction: Over 226.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
Best bet
After missing the Grizzlies’ last game, Desmond Bane will look to pick up where he left off during this winning streak. The sophomore shooting guard was averaging 22.5 points while shooting 54.4% from the floor, including a ridiculous 58.5% from 3-point range during the first six games of the streak.
Look for Bane to get out and run against a Jazz team that has struggled with its transition defense of late, and go Over his point total which is set at 20.5. That’s a number he’s eclipsed four times over his last six games.
Pick: Desmond Bane Over 20.5 points (-108 at FanDuel)
