The Milwaukee Bucks are back in their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers after securing a home win on Friday.
There are plenty of enticing NBA picks worth wagering on ahead of Game 4, and we’ve broken a few of the best options down with tonight's Pacers vs Bucks predictions. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dominant in the series and got some unexpected help from Gary Trent Jr. last time out.
Someone else will have to make major contributions for Milwaukee to secure a second consecutive win. Here’s how I’m approaching Game 4 on Sunday, April 27.
Who will win Pacers vs Bucks Game 4?
The Milwaukee Bucks are 4.5-point favorites following their impressive Game 3 victory. Milwaukee’s turnaround seems too good to be true, as Damian Lillard’s struggles will make it hard for the home team to put up enough points. Depending on Gary Trent Jr. to show up again is a recipe for disaster.
The Indiana Pacers seem set to get a win and improve to 3-1 in the first round.
Pacers vs Bucks prediction
My best bet: Pacers +4.5 (-110 at bet365)
Indiana boasted a Top-7 scoring offense during the regular season and posted 117.4 points per contest. The Pacers have remained one of the more productive offensive teams during postseason play.
Indiana has the league’s third-best scoring offense this postseason. Only the Thunder and Cavaliers can top its average of 113.7 points per game, and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s lack of support will give the Pacers an edge in Game 4.
Lillard, who was one-half of the NBA’s top-scoring duo during the regular season, has averaged 10.5 points on 24% shooting since returning from injury. Milwaukee doesn’t appear to have a legitimate second option right now while he’s in a slump.
Giannis leads all Bucks with 107 points in the series, and Trent is second to him with 55 ahead of Game 4. Trent’s 37-point outburst in Game 3 was an anomaly, though.
The Pacers are healthier and have six players averaging at least 12 points per game in the series. Indiana could very easily snag Game 4 outright but I'll take the points.
Pacers vs Bucks same-game parlay
The Pacers covered in Games 1 and 2, and I don’t think we’ll get another surprising offensive explosion from a role player. Lillard’s cold streak and Indiana’s depth make betting on the road team to cover a strong play.
Scoring in the playoffs is harder, and both sides have seen their regular-season averages drop in the first round. The Under hit in Games 1 and 3, with the average total for the series just over 223. Bobby Portis unexpectedly scored 28 off the bench in a Game 2 matchup that tallied 238 points, but it’s unlikely that we’ll see another outlier performance like that.
The last part of this parlay might be the trickiest, but history is on our side. Tyrese Haliburton has posted at least 10 assists against Milwaukee in three straight playoff games. He’s also reached double-digit assists six times through nine playoff matchups against the Bucks. The star point guard has their number, and perimeter defense hasn’t been a strong point for Milwaukee since Lillard joined.
