Two of the best teams in the NBA throw down at Chase Center on Sunday night as the Golden State Warriors host the Utah Jazz. While both teams are missing key players this should still be an entertaining game with MVP favorite Stephen Curry looking to get his season back on track after draining a game-winner at the buzzer on Friday night.
NBA betting lines have the Warriors installed as 5-point favorites for this contest with the Over/Under at 221. Here are our best free Jazz vs. Warriors NBA picks and predictions for January 23, with tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Spread analysis
These teams might have the second and fourth-best records in the NBA but both come into this contest struggling. The Jazz have lost six of their last eight games, covering the spread just once during that span. The Warriors are just 4-6 SU in their last 10 and are just 3-8 ATS in their previous 11 contests.
Injuries have played a big role in both of their recent struggles and will be a factor again with the Warriors missing big man Draymond Green and the Jazz playing without leading scorer Donovan Mitchell.
While the loss of their top scorer certainly hurts, the Jazz have a deep squad and have gone an impressive 17-8 SU in games without Mitchell over the past two seasons. One positive bit of injury news for Utah came just a few hours before tipoff with reports that All-Star center Rudy Gobert would be available despite ankle soreness.
On the other side, Golden State's offense seems to have fallen apart without Green and shooting guard Klay Thompson is still trying to shake off the rust after returning from a 31-month layoff just two weeks ago. The Dubs have been held to 105 points or fewer in seven of their last 10 games and are averaging just 104.2 points over that span despite a 136-point outlier against Chicago.
It's tough to back either of these teams given their recent play but it's a bit easier to grab the side being spotted five points against a Warriors team that barely beat the Rockets two nights ago.
Prediction: Jazz +5 (-110)
Over/Under analysis
Green might be best known for his defensive prowess but his importance as a facilitator on offense can't be overlooked.
Without Green's passing ability the Warriors have been turning the ball over at an embarrassing rate and have had a tough time getting good looks at the bucket. Even Curry is in the midst of a slump, with his field goal percentage of 37% over the last 12 games looking like a Russell Westbrook statline.
That's bad news against a Utah team that plays solid defense and is anchored by the three-time DPOY in Gobert who is averaging 15 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
While we think the Jazz will still be very competitive without Mitchell they'll still take a step back on offense without him. Especially against a Warriors team that allows a league-low 102.1 points per game, with that number dropping to 99.6 at home. Take the Under.
Prediction: Under 221 (-110)
Best bet
Frankly, it's a bit surprising that the total has ticked upwards. Sure, these teams have cashed the Over in eight straight meetings but the lineups you'll see tonight are nowhere near 100% healthy and have been brutal on offense lately.
The Warriors have been the best defensive team in the league all season and need to focus even more on that end of the floor with Curry in the midst of a shooting slump. Meanwhile, the Jazz have averaged just 105.7 points over their last three games despite playing against three of the worst defensive teams in the league and they'll be without Mitchell and his 25.5 points.
The Warriors have gone 24-10 to the Under as a favorite this year and we love the Under to cash again tonight.
Pick: Under 221 (-110)
