The Cleveland Cavaliers have locked up the top seed in the Eastern Conference and will rest four starters against the Indiana Pacers tonight. Cleveland has nothing to play for, but that’s not the case for the home team, as the Pacers could end up as the No. 3, 4, or 5 seed, depending on how they finish the season.
My Cavaliers vs. Pacers predictions expect Ty Jerome to step up for the shorthanded Cavs in a losing effort and for Tyrese Haliburton to deliver a productive performance as a scorer and rebounder.

Cavaliers vs Pacers prediction
My best bet: Ty Jerome 20+ points (+100 at bet365)
My analysis
The Cleveland Cavaliers offense is one of the best in the Association this season, and after years of elite play on the defensive end, they can finally boast about their stellar play on the other end of the court.
The resurgence in Cleveland’s offense is largely due to bench depth. The Cavs ranked 28th in bench scoring during the 2022-23 season, 14th last season, and seventh this season. Leading the charge for Cleveland’s bench? None other than Ty Jerome, who has bounced back from a right ankle injury that sidelined him for all but two games during his first season with the Cavs.
Jerome is averaging a career-high 12.4 points this season, and he’s doing it in just 19.8 minutes per game. Jerome has nailed 1.6 triples per tilt while shooting 51.5% from the floor, 87% from the charity stripe, and 43.3% from beyond the arc.
How efficient has he been? According to Cleaning the Glass, Jerome ranks in the 97th percentile in points per shot attempt. He’s averaging 22.5 points and 2.8 triples per 36 minutes. His field-goal and 3-point percentages are career highs.
Though Jerome is logging just under 20 minutes per game this season, he’s made the most of his opportunities when given additional playing time. In four games played with at least 30 minutes, Jerome averaged 25.5 points and scored 20 or more in each one.
The Cavs will be missing their three leading scorers in Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, and Evan Mobley. In five games played without Garland, Jerome averaged 21.8 points and scored at least 20 points four times.
Jerome is enjoying an elite level of efficiency in 2024-25, and I expect him to make the most of his minutes increase tonight. To sweeten this prop, the Indiana Pacers have allowed opposing PGs to score the sixth-most points per game at 26.2. Getting this scoring prop at even money is a huge bargain, and I’m all in on Jerome tonight.
Cavaliers vs Pacers same-game parlay
Tyrese Haliburton has been phenomenal since returning from the All-Star break, averaging better than 20 points and 11 dimes across 20 games. Hali has dished at least 10 assists in 16 of those, producing 15 double-doubles in that span. I expect another strong showing against a depleted Cavaliers squad.
Indiana needs this win, and it should have no problem getting a win at home tonight against a Cavs team missing most of its starters. Indiana is -450 to win this one straight up, so I’m happy to add it to this parlay rather than betting on it as a straight wager. Cleveland’s roster is deep this season, and if Jerome goes off as I expect him to, the Cavs could keep it close against a familiar opponent. I’m shying away from the spread here and opting for the safer ML pick.
