Kings vs Warriors Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

In a game missing the likes of De'Aaron Fox, Steph Curry, and Johnathan Kuminga, Quinn Allen believes someone has to pick up the scoring slack and that person will be DeMar DeRozan. Find out why below.

Two California teams will go to battle tonight in the Bay Area as the Sacramento Kings visit the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.

My Kings vs Warriors predictions expect DeMar DeRozan to pick up the offensive slack with De’Aaron Fox sidelined here with a hip injury.

Kings vs Warriors prediction

My best bet
DeMar DeRozan Over 23.5 points (-120 at bet365)

My analysis

The Sacramento Kings are a bit of a mess but DeMar DeRozan is still putting up respectable numbers in his first season with the team. He’s averaging 20.8 points on 49% shooting from the field. De'Aaron Fox won’t play tonight, which means more opportunity for DeMar to show out.

The trends aren’t exactly backing up this bet, to be fair. DeRozan’s 29 points on Friday night was only the second time he’s hit the Over in points in the last nine games. Overall, the veteran has been quiet lately when it comes to scoring the rock.

That being said, his 29-point performance was without Fox on the floor. He is essentially next in line in usage on this Kings roster and DeRozan knows that he is the main man when Fox isn’t available.

Also, DeRozan torched the Warriors last season, averaging 36 PPG in two games. Golden State is missing Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga, too. DeRozan has every chance to have a big performance in the Bay Area.

Kings vs Warriors same-game parlay

DeMar DeRozan Over 23.5 points

Andrew Wiggins Over 18.5 points

Kings moneyline

This bet for Andrew Wiggins follows a similar premise as DeRozan. Wiggins isn’t exactly lighting up the stat sheet lately, cashing the Over in points just twice in his last eight appearances. However, the Dubs are severely shorthanded tonight as mentioned, as Curry and Kuminga both sit.

So, who else is going to do the scoring? Dennis Schroder is still finding his footing with his new team, while Draymond Green is more of a playmaker, rebounder, and defensive pest. Steve Kerr will be putting the rock in Wiggins’ hands a lot here. He also just dropped 24 points on Saturday in a surprising win over the Grizzlies without Steph and Kuminga.

Even with Golden State missing starters, they’re still a moneyline favorite. That’s why this is a perfect opportunity to take the Kings as an underdog. They’ve won two in a row against the Warriors. Sacramento is 3-2-0 as a road underdog and has started to find a rhythm, grabbing three straight victories heading into this one.
