The Detroit Pistons look to wrap up a five-game road swing and even its season series with the Indiana Pacers when the Central Division rivals meet for the fourth and final time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin has scorched Detroit this season, and my Pistons vs. Pacers predictions expect his hot hand to continue tonight.

Read on as I explain my NBA picks for Wednesday, January 29.

Pistons vs Pacers prediction

My best bet
Bennedict Mathurin Over 13.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
The Detroit Pistons are wrapping up what they should feel was a successful, five-game road swing when they meet the Indiana Pacers tonight.

Detroit blew out Indiana in their last meeting at Gainbridge Fieldhouse but failed to cover twice against the Pacers at home.

The Stones have also failed to defend Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin effectively.

The third-year guard from Arizona has been a thorn in the side of most teams this season, but he’s been especially good against Detroit, and I like him to clear his scoring prop tonight.

Mathurin has scored 35 points across two games against Detroit. He’s scorching the nets with 57% shooting from inside the arc while draining 2.5 of his four attempts from downtown.

Mathurin has lit up the Pistons — and the rest of the Central Division — and I like that trend to continue tonight.

Pistons vs Pacers same-game parlay

Bennedict Mathurin Over 13.5 points

Pacers moneyline

Under 231.5 alt total

I like Mathurin to clear his scoring prop in what I believe should be a lower-scoring affair tonight at Gainbridge.

The Pacers are hot. They’ve won eight of their last 10 and have beaten Detroit six times out of seven. The spread moved by one point against Indiana, and I’d rather take the Pacers to win straight up instead of laying 6.5 points.

Four of the past five between Detroit and Indiana have ended Under the game total. Both groups have combined for a 7-12-1 O/U mark across their last 20 games, so I’m closing this same-game parlay ticket with the Under.
