Today’s best NBA player props

McCollum's a mismatch

The Pelicans are getting ready for the play-in tournament and pulled off one of the best moves of the trade deadline, rescuing CJ McCollum from the garbage fire in Portland.

McCollum has kept the Pels offense afloat, averaging 25.6 points per game on 50% shooting with his new team. His presence has been especially important lately with Brandon Ingram missing 11 of the last 16 games due to a hamstring injury.

Ingram is listed as questionable for tonight's contest against the Grizzlies, which should mean another big night for CJ. The Grizz have locked up the No. 2 seed in the East, but they play at a fast tempo and have surrendered more than 120 points in back-to-back games. They also struggle to defend opposing shooting guards, ranking 22nd with 23.4 ppg allowed to the position.

Pick: CJ McCollum Over 24.5 points (-110 at William Hill)

Forgot about Tre

The Spurs will be missing their entire starting lineup for tonight's home tilt against the Warriors. The Dubs are tough on the defensive end of the floor but someone has to put up numbers for San Antonio and if this week is any indication, that someone will be Tre Jones.

The backup point guard is averaging 15.3 points and 8.3 assists in 32.3 minutes per game in three contests this week. He's been very consistent over that span, totaling at least 22 points and assists in each of those games. With Jones' points and assists total today installed at 20.5, we're taking the Over.

Pick: Tre Jones Over 20.5 points and assists (-106 at FanDuel)

Davion doesn't disappoint

With Tyrese Haliburton sent packing at the trade deadline and De'Aaron Fox out with a hand injury since the middle of March, Davion Mitchell has taken over the reins of Sacramento's offense. The rookie has thrived with a heavier workload and has been doing a fantastic job of setting up his teammates.

The Baylor product is coming off a stellar performance against New Orleans on Tuesday where he racked up a career-high 17 assists. Mitchell has now dropped at least nine dimes in six consecutive games and has been averaging more than 40 minutes per game since Fox suffered his injury on March 16.

Expect Mitchell to get plenty of playing time against the Clippers today and take the Over 7.5 on his assists total.

Pick: Davion Mitchell Over 7.5 assists (+105 at PointsBet)
