The week in the NBA rolls on with a tantalizing 10 games to bet tonight. That means there's no shortage of basketball betting options to be found in the player prop market.
That includes taking advantage of the Portland Trail Blazers amid their fire sale, which most recently has seen CJ McCollum get shipped out the door. Things are so bleak at the moment even the Orlando Magic can provide some value.
Check out our NBA player prop picks for Tuesday, February 8, as we bank on some of the NBA's best to do their thing.

Today’s best NBA player props
Patty cakewalk
Things keep going from bad to worse for the Brooklyn Nets. Still without Kevin Durant, the team has lost eight consecutive games and James Harden will also miss tonight’s matchup against the visiting Boston Celtics. But that should create an opportunity for Nets shooting guard Patty Mills.
Mills usually steps up when called upon to do more scoring for the Nets. He is averaging 14 field goal attempts per game in his last four games in which Harden and Durant didn’t play, averaging 17.5 points per game in those contests.
While the Celtics are solid on the defensive end, ranking third in defensive rating, they do have some issues with opposing guards, ranking 25th in the NBA when it comes to points allowed to rival backcourts.
Mills also had a solid shooting night against the C’s at the end of November, putting up 23 points while going a ridiculous 7 for 10 from 3-point range. And really, who else is going to score besides Kyrie Irving and Mills in this one? We’re betting he goes Over his point total in this one.
Pick: Patty Mills Over 16.5 points (-120 at DraftKings)
JJJ is Mr. Glass
The Memphis Grizzlies continue to be one of the best stories going during this NBA season. Led by MVP candidate Ja Morant, the Grizzlies sit all alone in the third spot in the Western Conference standings and have won five of six heading into tonight’s matchup against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers.
Morant is the star but it’s the combined breakouts of guys like Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. that have made this team so dangerous and, frankly, so much fun.
JJJ is averaging 16.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season but the Memphis power forward is in a groove at the moment bumping those averages up to 19.2 and 7.3 over his last six. Now, Jackson gets a matchup against a Clippers squad that is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.
The Clippers rank 28th in rebounding percentage and next-to-last in opponent rebounds per game. So, look for Jackson to keep cleaning up the glass in this matchup and go Over his rebounding total of 6.5. a number he's eclipsed four times over that six-game span.
Pick: Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 6.5 rebounds (-105 at FanDuel)
Suggs casts his spell
The times, they are a-changin' in Portland as the Trail Blazers shipped CJ McCollum off to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday (along with Larry Nance Jr. and Tony Snell). Now, Dame Lillard is stuck looking around the locker room like Will Smith in the living room of that Fresh Prince gif.
The big question is whether or not Portland will move on from Dame next. Either way, Lillard isn’t suiting up for tonight’s matchup against the Orlando Magic, which means the Blazers will be shorthanded once again.
That won’t help a defense that already ranks 28th in defensive rating and dead last in opponent 3-point shooting percentage.
So, the Blazers appear to be ripe for the picking, and we’ll capitalize by backing Jalen Suggs’ point total in this one. The Magic rookie point guard is starting to find his form, putting up 17 points in back-to-back games, which includes going 3 for 6 from 3-point range against the Grizz. He's also taken at least 11 attempts from the floor in each of his last four.
Suggs put up just 10 points in a meeting against the Blazers in Orlando back on Jan. 17, but that was in just 20 minutes of play. Now, he’s averaging over 32 minutes over his last 10 games.
Mix in a pseudo homecoming to the Pacific Northwest for the former Gonzaga guard, and it shouldn't be a problem to go Over this number against the tattered remains of crumbling Blazers.
Pick: Jalen Suggs Over 14.5 points (+100 at FanDuel)
