It’s a ball night with seven games on the NBA schedule, and we’ve got plenty of great matchups for finding the best player props.
Paolo Banchero makes his return to the court for the Magic, and should immediately put in work on the glass against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. Shai-Gilgeous Alexanders and the Thunder head to the Garden to take on Jalen Brunson and the Knicks, where I’m targeting another rebounding prop.
Find those and more in my NBA picks for Friday, January 10.

NBA player props for January 10
Prop bet #1: Paolo Banchero 7+ rebounds
Paolo Banchero returns to the Orlando Magic lineup after missing 34 games with an oblique injury, and all signs are that star power forward will be a full go for tonight’s matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Banchero came flying out of the gates this season, averaging 29 points with 8.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists through five games before getting hurt. That includes a 50-point performance against the Indiana Pacers.
But oddsmakers are thinking the Magic may ease Banchero into game action setting his points prop at 17.5 and his rebounds at 4.5. Even with a minutes restriction, this rebounding number in particular looks too low.
Part of the reason for that is the matchup. It may sound funny because the Bucks have Giannis, who pulls down nearly 12 boards a game, but this isn’t a great team when it comes to rebounding. Milwaukee ranks 20th in rebounding rate and 24th in opponent rebounds per game.
I know there is a chance that a minute restriction hinders this, but that restriction likely falls in the 25-30 minute range, which is more than enough time to put some work in on the glass against a sub par rebounding team like the Bucks. And I know we won’t get many opportunities to bet Banchero 7+ rebounds at +260.
Prop bet #2: Coby White Over 4.5 assists
The Chicago Bulls will try to exact some revenge on the Washington Wizards on Friday night after the Wiz upset the Bulls as 6-point home underdogs back on New Year’s Day.
It was a tough look for a Chicago team that is battling for a play-in spot this season. It was just Washington’s sixth win of the season, and it has lost four straight since then. But the Bulls will have a pretty good chance to get one back here.
The Bulls are a sneaky good team when it comes to getting buckets, ranking 14th in offensive rating. One of the reasons for that is they are not selfish with the basketball. Chicago ranks seventh in assist rate this season and have four guys averaging at least four assists per game.
One of those guys is Coby White, who is averaging 4.6 assists per game this season. He’s seen an uptick in those numbers recently, dishing out 5.7 assists over his last seven games.
Now, he and the Bulls will face a Wizards team that ranks next-to-last in defensive rating and surrenders the fifth-most assists per game.
White has an assists prop set at 4.5 for this matchup. He’s gone Over that number four times in the last seven games, and at +125, it’s worth backing White to do it again.
Prop bet #3: Josh Hart Over 9.5 rebounds
We get a fun game at The Garden on Friday night as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder take on Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.
Oh, and it’s another Isiah Hartenstein revenge game! While that may not be the angle people are looking at in this intriguing NBA matchup, the Thunder need more guys like Hartenstein on the boards. Because for all of the things OKC does well, rebounding is not one of them.
In fact, the Thunder enter this game ranked next-to-last in the NBA in both rebounding rate and opponent rebounds per game. Tonight, they face a Knicks team that puts work in on the glass.
New York ranks fourth in rebounding rate because they all put in the effort on the board,s and having a combination of Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart sure helps.
KAT is the team's leading rebounder but Hart isn’t too far behind at 9.1 rebounds per game. He’s been a monster on the boards lately, bumping that number up to 12.6 boards over his last nine games. Hart has hauled down 11 or more boards eight times during that nine-game stretch.
His rebounding prop for this matchup against the Thunder is sitting at 9.5 with the Over priced at +110. Mix in the fact that our Covers Prop Projections have Hart set at 10.5 rebounds, and it’s no wonder this made the best bet list for today.
