With Anthony Davis already sidelined with an injury, my Kings vs Mavericks predictions expect Domantas Sabonis to have a big night on the boards.

My best bet
Domantas Sabonis Over 13.5 rebounds (-105 at bet365)
My analysis
Domantas Sabonis is having an impressive season for the Sacramento Kings, averaging 20.5 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. In fact, he’s leading the entire Association in boards, which is also a career high. That will be my focus for this bet.
Across the last 12 games, the Lithuanian center has cashed the Over in rebounds nine times. During that span, he’s only finished with fewer than 10 boards once. Sabonis is an absolute beast on the glass and the last time he faced the Dallas Mavericks, it was a lot of the same.
On December 30, Sabonis brought down 16 rebounds in a 110-100 win over Dallas. Of course, their roster is looking a lot different now, with AD the franchise star while Luka Doncic is in L.A. However, Davis, who is hurt very often, has already suffered an injury and will miss a few weeks.
That leaves a clear opportunity for Sabonis to make his presence felt on the boards. They’re allowing Over 15 rebounds per night to centers, and Sabonis averages 14.6 boards on the road. He just grabbed 30 rebounds across the last two games, too.

Kyrie Irving will have an even larger workload now that Luka is gone. To be honest, he’s been relied upon a lot this season because Doncic was hurt for a lot of the campaign. Kyrie is averaging 24.1 points on 40% shooting from downtown.
However, his total tonight is too high for my liking. The guard has hit Under 27.5 points in six of his last eight outings and had just 13 points on Saturday against the Rockets. Just two nights before that, Kyrie scored 19 points as Dallas beat Boston in a Finals rematch.
Klay Thompson has stepped into a smaller role in Dallas. Although he’s always been a solid 3-point shooter, his total is also too high for me. He has drained Under 3.5 triples in five straight games.
In fact, he’s only converted Over 3.5 treys twice, dating back to mid-January. No, the Kings aren’t a great team when it comes to defending the triple (29th in the league), but the Under is safe tonight. Klay rarely drains four or more threes in a game this season.
