Best NBA Player Props for Today: Haliburton Dishes Dimes in New Orleans

With Tyrese Haliburton experiencing an uptick in assists over his past two games, we're backing the Pacers superstar to keep it going against a decimated Pelicans frontcourt.

We're 10 days into the NBA regular season, and while books are starting to reflect current production in their player props, there are gaps to exploit.

I'm expecting positive regression to hit Tyrese Haliburton after a slow start to the season, and I'm fading Karl-Anthony Towns when he faces a tough rebounding matchup tonight. With Lakers forward Rui Hachimura also in the mix, let's dive into my NBA picks and player props for Friday, November 1.

NBA player props for November 1

Prop bet #1: Karl-Anthony Towns Under 10.5 rebounds

-120 at bet365

Although getting away from sharing the court with Rudy Gobert has seen Karl-Anthony Towns be far more effective on the boards this year, the New York Knicks are the slowest-paced team in the NBA.

Tonight they'll face a Detroit Pistons squad that plays at the third-slowest tempo — which means fewer shot attempts and rebounding opportunities for both sides.

While the Pistons are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA, they've been beasts on the boards, ranking second in the league in rebounding rate (53.8%). With Towns battling Pistons big man Jalen Duren down low (12.9 rebounds per 36 minutes), fade the Knicks center on his rebounds prop.

Prop bet #2: Rui Hachimura Over 14.5 points

+100 at bet365

Rui Hachimura is coming off his worst game of the season, scoring eight points and taking just six field goal attempts in a blowout loss to the Cavs on Wednesday. However, Hachimura dropped 18+ points in three of his first four contests this season and averaged 14.3 field goal attempts per game during that span, so expect positive regression tonight.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward is set to face a Toronto Raptors squad that ranks dead-last in defensive rating, including 24th in the league in points allowed in the paint per game (52.4), which should make things easy for Hachimura inside.

Hachimura saw his offensive role grow towards the end of last season, averaging 16.9 points per game in the final two months. Bet on him to rediscover that form against a Raps squad that struggles in their own end.

Prop bet #3: Tyrese Haliburton Over 8.5 assists

-120 at bet365

Tyrese Haliburton averaged a whopping 10.7 assists per game over the last two seasons, but that number sits at a far more modest 6.6 assists per game this year. That lower number is due to his first three games of the season when he logged just 3.7 apg on 9.3 potential assists per game.

However, the Indiana Pacers superstar has racked up 10+ in assists in each of his last two games, with his potential assists per game rising to 17.0.

Haliburton and the Pacers will now take on a New Orleans Pelicans squad that is banged up in the backcourt, with Dejounte Murray and C.J. McCollum each sidelined. Considering the Pels allowing the second-most assists per game (28.6) in the league, back Haliburton to eclipse his assists total.
