Today’s NBA Player Prop Picks: Warriors' Looney Keeps Racking Up Rebounds

Kevon Looney has been racking up rebounds at an elite clip since Draymond Green's absence began 13 games ago. The Warriors big man should continue to hit Overs until oddsmakers adjust. We're backing Looney along with two more props with our daily picks.

Today’s best NBA player props

Slammin' Siakam

Pascal Siakam is playing his best basketball since the Toronto Raptors 2019 championship run and is helping his team climb the Eastern Conference standings as a result. He’ll need to keep up his terrific play if the Raptors want to hold off the red-hot Atlanta Hawks in tonight’s matchup.

The Hawks, who sit just a game behind the Raps in the East standings, have won seven games in a row thanks to an offense that ranks second in the NBA when it comes to offensive rating over this phenomenal stretch.

But Siakam should present a unique challenge for the Hawks at the other end of the floor. Siakam is averaging 23 points on 48.5% shooting while adding 9.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game dating back to the middle of December.

Now, the Hawks have played better on defense of late but still rank 21st in defensive rating since the calendar flipped over to 2022. The Hawks also rank 14th in rebounding percentage and give up the fourth-most assists per game.

That means Siakam could be in for another well-rounded performance. His points + rebounds + assists Over/Under is on the board at 34.5 and he has gone over this number 12 times over his last 18 games.

Pick: Pascal Siakam Over 34.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110 at DraftKings)

Here's to you, Mitchell Robinson

Things are going from bad to worse for the New York Knicks. The Knicks have lost three in a row and six of seven to fall into 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings. But maybe a Monday night matchup with the Sacramento Kings at Madison Square Garden can help them get back on track.

While things are going poorly for the Knicks, they are even worse for the Kings. Sacramento has lost seven in a row, has an offense that is struggling (it doesn’t help that De’Aaron Fox is banged up) and a defense that has more holes than Swiss cheese.

The Kings rank 28th in defensive rating but where they really struggle is in the interior. Sacramento allows more points in the paint per game than anyone in the NBA. That has created an opportunity to back Knicks center, Mitchell Robinson.

Robinson averages a meager 8.3 points per game this season, but he's exceeded that by averaging 11.4 over his last 10 while putting up double-digit points six times over that stretch. With Robinson’s point total set at 9.5, we can’t say no to the Over getting plus money against a Kings team that really struggles to protect the paint.

Pick: Mitchell Robinson Over 9.5 points (+110 at DraftKings)

Looney tunes

Public service announcement time. I will not stop betting the Over on Kevon Looney rebounds until either Draymond Green returns or until sportsbooks make a more drastic adjustment to his numbers.

Looney has picked up his game on the boards ever since Green went down with his calf injury. Looney averages a moderate 7.4 rebounds per game this season, but that number has jumped up to 10.5 in the 13 games that Green has missed.

Now, he and his Golden State Warriors teammates will look to keep cleaning up the glass when they travel to Houston to face the Rockets on Monday night. And Houston definitely has a problem when it comes to rebounding. The Rockets rank 21st in the NBA when it comes to rebounding percentage and opponent rebounds per game.

This means Looney is primed for another big game on the boards and is a good bet to go Over his rebounding total set at 10.5, particularly when you consider that he has grabbed nine or more rebounds nine times over this 13-game stretch sans Draymond. That includes hauling down 12 boards against this same Rockets team back on Jan. 21.

Pick: Kevon Looney Over 10.5 rebounds (+100 at DraftKings)

It’s not an interesting story. Seriously.
