There is no better way to kick off the weekend than by sitting back, watching some NBA basketball, and winning some player prop bets in the process.

Today, we’re backing Donovan Mitchell, who is giving us some great value to keep making it rain from 3-point range, and can MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid take advantage of his edge on the glass when he faces the Clippers?

Check out our NBA player prop picks for Friday, March 25, as we bank on some of the NBA's best to do their thing.

Spida-Man

There aren’t many players making it rain from beyond the arc quite like Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell. So much so, that even a made threes total of 4.5 isn’t enough to scare us off when Mitchell and the Jazz visit the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.

Now, Mitchell has been letting it fly from three all season, but he’s taken it to the next level. Since coming out of the All-Star break, Mitchell is jacking up nearly 12 threes per game, hitting at a respectable 38.9 % clip.

Mitchell’s proclivity for the deep ball has been even crazier lately. Over his last five games, he is taking a whopping 14.2 threes per game shooting 40.8 %, and he’s hit five or more from long-range four times over that five-game stretch.

Now, he faces a Hornets team that is one of the worst in the NBA when it comes to defending the perimeter. The Hornets give up the second-most 3-point attempts per game while ranking 21st in opponent 3-point shooting %. So, don’t expect the Hornets to be the team to hamper Mitchell’s love for the 3-ball.

Obviously, 4.5 is a large number but Mitchell will get every opportunity to eclipse it in this matchup and the plus money makes it worth the risk.

Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 4.5 made threes (+130)

Luka Magic

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is expected to return to action after sitting out the Mavs last game, and when on the court, he's gotten back into the giving mood once again. That means we’ll be looking at his assists prop when the Mavs visit the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Doncic is averaging 8.6 assists per game this season but his assist results have been streaky at times. Sometimes Doncic will focus more on scoring and his assists seem to drop in the five-to-seven range, and other times he’s dishing out dimes like it’s going out of style. Heck, he’s had double-digit assists 23 times in 56 games this season.

And that’s exactly what’s going on right now.

Doncic has recorded nine or more assists three times in the last four games, including dishing out 10 assists in his last appearance which came against this same Timberwolves team. He’ll have a good chance to repeat that performance tonight as the Wolves allow the third-most assists per game.

Bet on Doncic to get his teammates involved and go Over his assists total in this one.

Pick: Luka Doncic Over 8.5 assists (-115)

Glass Cleaner

It’s back to the well of fading the Los Angeles Clippers in the form of opposing player rebounding props. Who better to back when they host the Philadelphia 76ers than the betting favorite to win MVP, Joel Embiid.

Embiid averages 11.3 rebounds per game on the season but he’s put even more work in on the glass of late, hauling down 12.3 boards over 11 games in the month of March, grabbing 12 or more seven times over that stretch. Now he gets the juicy matchup against the Clippers.

As we have pointed out for much of the season, the Clippers have been our punching bag when it comes to opposing player rebounding props and that’s just because they are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.

Los Angeles ranks 27th in rebounding percentage and 28th in opponent rebounds per game, so their chances of slowing down Embiid from getting his on the boards are not great. On top of that, in Embiid’s lone matchup against the Clippers this season, Embiid grabbed 13 boards.

All that said, grabbing the Over on 11.5 looks like a solid bet tonight.

Pick: Joel Embiid Over 11.5 rebounds (-115)

It’s not an interesting story. Seriously.
