Today’s NBA Player Prop Picks: SGA Continues Pouring In Points Against Brooklyn

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 24.1 ppg over his last nine games, scoring at least 22 points in seven of them. We love SGA to go over his 21.5-point total tonight against BK, highlighting our best NBA player props for Sunday's action.

Remember when the NBA was dominated by big men? Well, that's a distant memory because today's game is all about guards — which is what we're focusing on with our favorite NBA prop bets this Sunday.

We're backing a dynamic young guard, putting our money on an old-timer that's still one of the best around, and fading a crafty scorer who is going up against a top defensive team.

Here are our best NBA prop picks for Sunday, November 14.

Don't look now, but the Oklahoma City Thunder have now won four games in a row as they welcome the Brooklyn Nets to Paycom Center tonight.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander carried the Thunder with 23.7 points per game last season and is leading the club with 22.5 ppg this year, although his shooting efficiency has plummeted from 50.8 percent to 42.9. This is the result of the Thunder not really having anyone else that can create their own shot, which allows opposing teams to focus on stopping SGA — but he's still managing to get buckets.

The OKC guard is coming off a 22-point performance against the Kings and has scored at least 22 points in seven of his last nine contests. Perhaps more importantly, he's averaging 24.1 points on 19 field goal attempts per game during that span, so you know the volume will be there. Grab the Over 21.5 on his points total tonight.

Pick: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 21.5 points (-120 at bet365)

Suns guard Chris Paul isn't just a wizard with the ball, he's also a pesky defender that ranks fifth all-time in career steals with 2,358. The 36-year-old doesn't appear to be slowing down much and currently ranks fourth in the league with 2.4 steals per game and is coming off a performance against the Grizzlies where he had five swipes.

Today, Paul and the Suns take on the Houston Rockets, who are just 1-11 to start the year. With a young backcourt featuring Kevin Porter and Jalen Green, the Rockets have had a lot of trouble taking care of the ball. Houston ranks last in the league in both turnovers per game (18.9) and opponent steals per game (10.8). Take the Over on CP3's steals total tonight.

Pick: Chris Paul Over 1.5 steals (-115 at bet365)

Zach LaVine leads the resurgent Chicago Bulls with 25.7 ppg. The 26-year-old is finally getting plenty of respect around the league with his scoring prowess actually leading to victories for a Bulls squad that is off to an 8-4 start.

That said, it won't be easy for LaVine & Co. to get points tonight against a Clippers team that is allowing the fifth-fewest points per game in the league (103.6 ppg) and ranks third in defensive rating.

With the Over/Under on LaVine's points total tonight set at 27.5 — a number he has surpassed just once in his last nine games — bet the Under.

Pick: Zach LaVine Under 27.5 points (-115 at PointsBet)
