With 11 games on the board, tonight’s NBA action is full of player prop betting value. One of the most intriguing spots is in Milwaukee, where the LeBron-less Lakers will take on the Bucks. Have LeBron’s teammates turned over a new leaf, or are they just turning over the ball?
Plus, you wouldn’t guess the Magic are struggling the way Cole Anthony has been jacking up treys and that could pay off against the Knicks.
Those and much more in our NBA prop picks for Wednesday, November 17, as we bank on some of the NBA's best to do their thing.
NBA player props for November 17
- Cole Anthony Over 2.5 made threes (+130)
- Richaun Holmes Over 9.5 rebounds

The magic touch
Well, it certainly looks like the Orlando Magic’s latest rebuild is still in its early phases. Orlando has begun the season 3-8, thanks mostly to an offense that is struggling. The Magic rank 27th in offensive rating and 28th in scoring, and tonight they’ll take that slumping offense to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks.
But while the Magic have been putting up a ton of bricks this season, Cole Anthony certainly isn’t lacking confidence. The Magic shooting guard is jacking up 7.8 threes per game and has actually been pretty deadly from beyond the arc, hitting 39.4 percent of his attempts.
Now, Anthony goes up against a Knicks defense that has struggled to defend the perimeter. The Knicks allow opponents to shoot the second-most threes per game in the NBA while ranking 23rd in opponent 3-point shooting percentage.
With Anthony hitting three or more threes in four of his last five games, it’s a little stunning to see this kind of value on the Over of his made threes prop. We’re betting he lets it fly tonight in New York.
Pick: Cole Anthony Over 2.5 made threes (+130 at DraftKings)
Detecting a deficiency on the boards
If nothing else, the Sacramento Kings have been an exciting team to follow on NBA League Pass over the first month of the season. The Kings’ high-flying offense ranks sixth in offensive rating and third in scoring so far this season, and they’ll look to keep getting buckets in bunches when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
The Kings are 2-point underdogs, but undoubtedly have the better offense in this matchup. Another place where Sacramento will have a decided edge will be on the boards, as the Wolves are one of the worst rebounding teams in the Association.
Minnesota ranks dead last in the NBA in both rebounding percentage and opponent rebounding per game. That could mean a big night of cleaning up the glass for Kings center Richaun Holmes. The Sacramento big man is averaging 10.9 rebounds per game this season and has hauled in 10 or more boards nine times in 14 games this season.
Holmes should be able to dominate the glass in this one and eclipse his rebounding total of 9.5 with relative ease.
Pick: Richaun Holmes Over 9.5 rebounds (-105 at DraftKings)
Brodie's ball-security issues
One of the biggest games on the schedule tonight sees the Los Angeles Lakers visit Giannis Antetokounmpo and the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks. Of course, the game will be missing one of its star attractions, as LeBron James will miss his eighth straight game due to an abdominal injury, but that does present us with some value with one of his teammates.
The Lakers have clearly struggled without James, going just 3-4 in his absence and scoring a paltry 103 points per game. Another byproduct of James’ injury is that Russell Westbrook has become the Lakers' primary ball-handler, and to put it nicely, he has returned to his, um, carefree ways.
Westbrook has turned the ball over 5.9 times per game during this stretch James has missed and has had five or more turnovers five times over those seven games.
While the Bucks haven’t been clogging up the passing lanes as they have in the past, this is still a long and athletic team that can create turnovers when it needs to. In a game where the Lakers are expected to be trailing, we’re betting Brodie tries to force the issue a bit and goes Over his turnover total in this one.
Pick: Russell Westbrook Over 4.5 turnovers (-125 at DraftKings)
