It’s a ball night! With 12 games on the NBA schedule this Friday night, there's a ton of action on the basketball betting board and no shortage of options in the player prop markets.
Tonight, we wonder if Jalen Suggs can keep dishing out dimes for the Magic, and if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to do it all for the Thunder. Also, is there any better feeling than taking the Over on a Steph Curry made threes prop at plus money? Expect for when the bet cashes, of course.
Here are my best NBA player prop bets for Friday, November 18.
NBA player props for November 18
- Suggs Over 5.5 assists (-105)
- Gilgeous-Alexander Over 1.5 steals (+110)
- Curry Over 4.5 made 3s (+100)

The giving spirit
The Orlando Magic are still going through the growing pains of a young team. But it looks like they finally have some core pieces to build around — particularly Paulo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr., and Jalen Suggs.
Banchero began his rookie season with a bang before suffering an ankle injury while Carter continues to take the next step in his development. Suggs, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft was a little slow out of the gates last season and an ankle sprain cost him some games early this year.
But Suggs is back and looking more and more like the floor general that the Magic had been hoping for when they drafted him. He's been doing a great job of getting his teammates involved in the action since his return from injury. The Magic point guard is averaging 6.3 assists over his last seven games and he’ll have a great chance to keep dishing out the dimes in Friday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls just aren’t the strongest defending team. They rank 23rd in the NBA when it comes to opponent field goal percentage, 26th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage, and 27th in opponent assists per game. Basically, if Suggs is willing to make the extra pass in this matchup, he should eclipse his assists total of 5.5 — a number he’s gone over five times in his last seven games.
Jalen Suggs Prop: Over 5.5 assists (-105)
Thief in the night
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has gone nuclear. To the point where opposing fans are chanting “M-V-P” for him. And why not?
The guy is averaging 32.3 points per game on 54.8% shooting, including 40% from 3-point range while adding 5.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds. But what makes SGA truly special is that he impacts the game at both ends of the floor. The Thunder guard is averaging 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per game as well, and he should keep picking pockets in Friday night’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis is OK when it comes to taking care of the ball, but not great. The Grizz rank 16th in the NBA when it comes to turnover rate, and more specifically, their guards rank 19th in terms of turnovers per game.
Gilgeous-Alexander has recorded multi-steal outings nine times in the 14 games he has suited up for this season. He also notched two steals in his lone game against the Grizzlies last season. Getting SGA at plus money to go Over his steals props, feels like a (sorry in advance) steal.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Prop: Over 1.5 steals (+110)
Curry heats up
The Golden State Warriors are looking for answers on the road this season, going 0-8 away from the Chase Center. Luckily, they have two things going for them on Friday night when they take on the New York Knicks. One: They are playing at home. And two: Steph Curry is still lighting up opponents from downtown.
The two-time MVP has been as deadly as ever from long range this season. Curry is hitting a crazy good 44.7% of his 3-pointers on a big 11.5 attempts per game. And he’ll have a great chance to keep jacking up the treys in this matchup against the Knicks.
Tom Thibodeau must be stewing at the state of his defense this year. It’s certainly not at the level we're used to in the Thibs era. New York ranks 22nd in the NBA when it comes to defensive rating and where they are really getting burned is on the perimeter.
The Knicks are allowing the most 3-point attempts per game in the NBA while ranking 15th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage. That doesn't seem like the recipe to keep Curry from cooking. Curry has hit five or more threes four times in his last six games while hitting a ridiculous 52.3% of his shots over that span.
Getting him at even money to do it again vs. a Knicks team whose 3-point defense is as lax as a pair of Thanksgiving Day sweatpants seems like a gift.
Stephen Curry Prop: Over 4.5 made threes (+100)
