Best NBA Player Props for Today: Doncic Cools Off Suns

Luka Doncic has been a thorn in the Suns' side for years now, and our NBA prop picks will target his point prop Over in their first meeting of the season tonight. That and more as Zak Hanshew takes a deep dive in search of value this Saturday.

Saturday’s NBA slate is loaded from top to bottom with excellent matchups, including the next chapter in the Luka Doncic-Devin Booker rivalry, a Texas showdown between the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, and a nightcap befitting royalty when the Sacramento Kings travel to Crypto.com Arena to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Saturday’s NBA player props market features no shortage of quality options, and my favorite NBA picks for October 26 feature a superstar facing a familiar nemesis and two big men looking to take advantage of exploitable matchups.

NBA player props for October 26

Prop bet #1: Luka Doncic Over 30.5 points

-104 at FanDuel

Luka Doncic must have been a Smash Mouth fan growing up because he’s been “walking on the Suns” for the last two seasons.

Luka’s rivalry with the Phoenix Suns — and particularly Devin Booker — traces its origins to the 2022 Western Conference semis. The Dallas Mavericks went down 3-2 before winning Games 6 and 7 in blowout fashion. The games sparked the infamous “Luka smiling at Booker” meme and Doncic’s classic quote, “Everybody’s tough when they’re up.”

Doncic averaged 32.6 points, 9.9 boards and 7 dimes in that seven-game series, but he’s been phenomenal in the regular season too. Since 2022-23, Doncic has averaged a whopping 37.8 points in six regular-season matchups, including a 50-burger on Christmas of 2023. That excludes a game in which he was on the court for just three minutes.

Doncic dropped 28 in Dallas’ season-opening win over San Antonio, though he wasn’t leaned on heavily in the comfortable victory. I expect him to be laser-focused against the Suns, and I’m hammering the Over on this points prop. It’s set at 29.5 across multiple books for -120 odds or shorter, but I’ll gladly take the longer -104 odds for just a point more in the NBA player props at FanDuel.

Prop bet #2: Alperen Sengun Over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists

-113 at FanDuel

Alperen Sengun just signed a five-year, $185 million extension with the Houston Rockets, and he rewarded the front office with a monster 25/18/5 line in the opener against Charlotte. He followed that up with a 16/15/2 line on Friday night as Houston blew out Memphis.

Sengun enjoyed a career-best season last year with averages of 21.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and five assists. He found even greater success against the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 28.3 points, 13 rebounds, and 4.7 assists across three appearances. He hit the Over on this line twice and is poised to do so again on Saturday.

Alongside Jalen Green, Sengun is one of the Rockets’ focal points on offense, and he’s got a great matchup in this one. The 6-foot-11, 255-pound Sengun presents formidable size for any opposing defender to deal with, including Victor Wembanyama. Take the Over as Sengun continues to ascend in his fourth NBA season.

Prop bet #3: Julius Randle Over 32.5 points + rebounds + assists

-108 at Caesars

Julius Randle absolutely toasted the Kings in Thursday’s narrow victory, going off for 33/5/4 to earn his first win in a Minnesota Timberwolves uniform. Randle got it going with five triples, but he made plenty of noise in the paint as Minnesota’s leading scorer.

The big man averaged a healthy 24 points, 11.3 rebounds, and eight assists against the Toronto Raptors last season, and I’m betting on another big game in this favorable spot. The Raptors’ frontcourt depth is already shallow, and Kelly Olynyk is not guaranteed to play due to a back injury that sidelined him on Friday.

Toronto got rocked for 136 points in their opener, falling by 30 points to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Most notably, half of Cleveland’s points came in the paint, and Randle can be a force on that area of the court.

Randle went for 16/9/4 in the opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, but he really found his groove against Sacramento. I’m taking the Over as he keeps the momentum going on Saturday to propel his team to a second straight win.
