The swagger is back for the Minnesota Timberwolves after four straight victories, and they’re poised to pad their win total tonight against the struggling Utah Jazz.

Utah stumbles into this matchup on a seven-game skid and with the second-worst record in the league, so my Timberwolves vs Jazz predictions point to the visitors’ wing duo running the show at Delta Center.

Check out my betting tips and NBA picks for this January 30 clash.

Timberwolves vs Jazz prediction

My best bet
Jaden McDaniels Over 17.5 points + rebounds (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
With Donte DiVincenzo sidelined, Chris Finch’s only real option has been to lean even more on the two-way talent of Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker

All three have answered the call, but I’m focusing on McDaniels for my best bet tonight. He can sometimes get overlooked with all the household names in the Minnesota Timberwolves starting line-up, but he’s made plenty of noise over the last two weeks.

I like the Over on a generous line of 17.5 for McDaniels’ points + rebounds prop here. He’s gone past this number in eight straight games, including 14 points and six boards against the Phoenix Suns last night.

McDaniels is shooting 41% from downtown this month on almost four attempts a game, and his rebounding has been steady (6.6 RPG in January) despite Rudy Gobert’s presence on the glass. It’ll be all hands on deck on the boards tonight against the towering Utah Jazz frontcourt.

The Jazz are allowing 118.5 PPG, the third-worst mark in the NBA, while their offense ranks in the bottom half of the league in field-goal percentage. That feels like a recipe for McDaniels to shine in both of the stat categories for this combo prop — and the fatigue factor for the Timberwolves on the second night of a back-to-back set could mean meaningful fourth-quarter minutes, rather than a blowout.

Minnesota has played its best basketball of the season over the past week, and I like this price for another all-action performance from McDaniels.

Timberwolves vs Jazz same-game parlay

Jaden McDaniels Over 17.5 points + rebounds

Anthony Edwards Over 2.5 threes

Timberwolves -3 — 1H

I’m also loading up on an Ant-Man prop on the heels of his 33-point masterpiece yesterday to outlast Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. He went 3-for-8 from downtown in Phoenix, and I’m expecting a similar production here.

Edwards has knocked down three or more 3-pointers in seven of his last nine contests, and he’s making triples at a 43% clip this month, up from 39% in December.

It’s hard to find many positives for the hosts. The Jazz’s last four losses have all come by nine points or more, and they’re just 3-16 at home this season. That spells trouble against a Minnesota team that’s won four in a row in Utah.

The T-Wolves are a solid 14-11 on the road this year, and they’ve hit the 1H moneyline in 13 of their last 16 road outings. I’m laying the points on this small first-half spread.

Timberwolves vs Jazz spread and Over/Under analysis

  • Though the Timberwolves are just 19-27-1 ATS this season, they’ve won nine of their last 10 contests, including big victories over the Suns and Denver Nuggets.
  • The Jazz are boosted by the return of Walker Kessler and John Collins tonight, but the hosts have only covered the spread in two of their last seven meetings against Minnesota.
  • The Over is 7-3 in Minnesota’s last 10 games, though the past four clashes between these teams have all hit the Under.
  • Utah has given up 123 points or more in five of its last six contests, while the Timberwolves rank fourth in points allowed per game (107.7).
