Victor Wembanyama Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Spurs vs Pacers

While the Pacers vs. Spurs is ostensibly a neutral-site game in Paris, it will feel like a San Antonio home game as Victor Wembanyama returns to France. With the boosted energy and atmosphere, he won't disappoint.

Victor Wembanyama best bet

Victor Wembanyama Over 29.5 points (-110 at bet365)

Victor Wembanyama's points line has crept up quickly since opening at 26.5, and it sits at 28.5 with odds of -125. He’s scored at least 29 points only 10 times this season, but if I'm taking the Over, I might as well go one point higher to get longer odds at -110. Wemby has scored 30+ in just nine games during the 2024-25 campaign, but I expect him to be energized and focused in his return home.

The French phenom at a recent press conference said, "I can feel a different energy. It's great to be back here. It's a venue that's close to my heart.”

Wembanyama played professionally in France less than two years ago, so Accor Arena and Paris are certainly familiar to him. In a game that’s supposed to be a neutral site for both teams, this matchup will feel like a San Antonio Spurs home game, supercharged with Wemby fans.

The Indiana Pacers have allowed opposing centers to average 19.7 points per game, but that number has moved to 21.9 across their last 15. Indiana has played well defensively across its last nine games, going 8-1 while sporting the third-best defensive rating in the Association. This won’t be a walk down the Champs-Élysées for Wembanyama, but he can certainly take advantage of Indiana’s frontcourt.

The Pacers lost Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman for the season, leaving Myles Turner and Thomas Bryant to man the interior defense. Turner sports a defensive rating of 111.7, 19th among centers with at least 25 minutes per game. Indiana has surrendered the seventh-most points in the paint per game this season, and the Pacers are middle-of-the-pack in second-chance points allowed.

The Pacers have been one of the stingiest perimeter defenses in the Association this season, and they’ve clamped down over their last nine. Nearly half of Wembanyama’s 18.9 field goal attempts per game come from beyond the arc. Indiana has done a great job of locking down opposing three-point shooters, but Wembanyama is not a typical three-point shooter. At 7’4, he’s a clear mismatch for even the most stalwart defenders, so I’m not worried about this matchup defensively.

Wembanyama posted 31 points in his last matchup of the 2023-24 season with Indiana, and I expect him to go for at least 30 in today's homecoming. The spotlight will be on one of the NBA’s most popular and recognizable players, and I expect him to embrace the moment and shine on offense.

Victor Wembanyama same-game parlay

Victor Wembanyama 30+ points

Victor Wembanyama 10+ rebounds

Chris Paul 7+ assists

Wembanyama’s more than just a scorer, so I’m including this alt rebounds line in our three-leg parlay.

His rebounding line is set at 12.5, which is a bit high for my liking. Instead, I’ll bet that he reaches double-digit boards, which he’s done in three straight and seven of his last eight.

The French big has corralled at least 10 rebounds in 18 of 36 games overall, and he’ll face a Pacers team that has allowed the seventh-most rebounds to centers across their last seven (17.5).

The final leg of this parlay is another alt line. Paul’s assists are set at 8.5, and hitting the Over is absolutely obtainable after handing out nine or more assists in four of his last eight.

Over that eight-game span, CP3 has averaged 8.1 dimes, but he’s reached seven assists six times. On the season, Paul has handed out at least nine assists 22 times and at least seven assists 30 times. This should feel like a home game for the Spurs, and Paul has averaged 8.5 dimes at home this season, handing out at least seven in 16 of 22.
