The Boston Celtics had a slip-up in Game 3, but don't expect them to play with their food in Game 4 vs. Orlando.

It takes a lot to pierce the calm around the Boston Celtics, but the Orlando Magic have certainly ruffled some feathers as we head into tonight’s Game 4.

Injuries to Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown have left Boston frustrated with the level of physicality in this series, but my Celtics vs. Magic predictions expect the visitors to rise above that and move within a win of the second round.

Who will win Celtics vs Magic Game 4?

Give the Orlando Magic a ton of credit for grinding out a Game 3 victory in which they held the Boston Celtics to just 34 second-half points.

However, I’m skeptical about their chances of repeating the trick tonight. Orlando’s bruising style has got the Celtics’ attention, and the defending champs should come out in a frenzy here.

Celtics vs Magic prediction

My best bet: Celtics -6.5 (-110 at bet365)

The Celtics made a habit of taking care of business on the road this year with a 33-8 regular season record away from TD Garden. So, though it was surprising to see Boston let Game 3 slip away at Kia Center on Friday, this playoff-tested roster knows what it’ll take to hit back.

Make no mistake, the Magic have got under the Celtics’ skin with their willingness to battle for every ball, but the visitors’ talent edge is still hard to ignore, and I’ll gladly lay the points in this spot.

Jayson Tatum looked good in his return after missing Game 2, and Boston’s 9-for-27 shooting night from 3-point range on Friday feels like a major anomaly — both in terms of efficiency and shot attempts from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, the burden on Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner feels unsustainable. That duo combined for 61 of the Magic’s 95 points in Game 3, but the Celtics have other cards to play defensively. Look for the visitors to be more successful putting the clamps on Orlando’s big guns here.

Boston is 27-6 in its last 33 contests, and there’s an ominous backlash vibe lingering around Game 4. Beware the wounded champs.

Celtics vs Magic same-game parlay

Celtics -6.5

Derrick White Over 4.5 assists

Franz Wagner Over 4.5 assists

Even with Boston’s offensive struggles in Game 3, Derrick White found a way to rack up assists. He finished with five dimes, and he’s now recorded five or more in 11 of his last 13 outings.

With so much Orlando attention focused on Tatum and Brown, White can usually go to work one-on-one, and I see his playmaking paying off in a big way tonight.

Franz Wagner was even more effective as a creator on Friday, sparking the Magic with eight assists. His ability to drive and kick is critical not just for Banchero’s touches but also for feeding Orlando’s less-than-stellar 3-point shooters.

The hosts just can’t walk into the same easy buckets that the Celtics’ stars get, so they’ll need Wagner pulling the strings.
