Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

Desmond Bane hasn't been able to piece things together this season, and he isn't about to find his shooting stroke against a tough Warriors defense.

Two teams on opposite trajectories meet at FedExForum as the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies clash for the second time this season.

My Warriors vs. Grizzlies predictions expect Golden State’s solid perimeter defense to contain Desmond Bane from deep.

Warriors vs Grizzlies prediction

My best bet
Desmond Bane Under 2.5 threes (-160 at bet365)

My analysis
After three highly productive campaigns, Desmond Bane’s production has fallen off a cliff to start 2024-25. He’s attempting just 5.5 threes — the lowest mark since his rookie campaign — and is hitting a career-worst 31.7% of them.

Bane has hit multiple threes in nine of 19 games this season, but he’s reached three triples in only three of them. He went 1 of 4 from beyond the arc when he faced the Golden State Warriors this season.

In his lone game against the Warriors last year, Bane went 2-for-9 from 3-point range, and in the season prior, he averaged 1.8 triples and hit the Over only once in four appearances.

The SG's struggles are unlikely to subside in a tough matchup against Golden State's perimeter defense. This season, the team has allowed the fourth-worst 3-point percentage and the eighth-fewest made threes, setting Bane up for a poor showing from downtown.

The Dubs have been even stingier against opposing SGs, allowing the third-fewest made threes to that position. I’m taking this one regardless of Ja Morant’s status, but if Morant ends up sitting this one out, Golden State’s defense will focus even more attention on Bane.

Warriors vs Grizzlies same-game parlay

Desmond Bane Under 2.5 threes

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 21.5 points

Draymond Green Over 19.5 points+rebounds+assists

Jaren Jackson Jr. has been on a roll this season, averaging 22 points per game. He’s hit the Over on this one in 11 of 25 and scored at least 20 points in 17 of 25 games. Jackson Jr. is hitting 51.8% of his shots from the field and 36.4% from beyond the arc.

The FG percentage is the best of his career, and the 3-point percentage is his second best. The big man has had great success against Golden State in recent matchups, averaging 26.1 points per game across his last six. That includes 32 points in the first matchup this season.

Draymond Green finished with 21/7/4 in his last game out, and he’s averaged 11.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists across his last four. In that span, Green has hit the Over twice. This season, he’s averaging 21.4 PRAs, so cashing this modest line is certainly feasible.
