The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors meet in a wild West shootout Thursday, with both teams jockeying for postseason position in the conference.

My Warriors vs. Lakers predictions look at Rui Hachimura, as he'll be in line to produce more with Golden State dealing with Luka Doncic and LeBron.

Read all about it in my NBA picks for April 3.

Warriors vs Lakers prediction

My best bet: Rui Hachimura Over 10.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
Rui Hachimura is working his way back into form after missing a good chunk of time with a knee injury last month.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ shooting guard was thriving in L.A.’s revamped lineup in February, scoring more than 16 points per game and finding a ton of open space playing alongside those elite scorers in James, Doncic, and Reaves.

However, he injured his knee at the end of the month and returned to action on March 22, slowly ramping up his floor time and involvement in the offense.

Hachimura is coming off 31 minutes of action in Monday’s win over the Houston Rockets (his most floor time since coming back) but only scored seven points on a poor 3-for-10 shooting performance.

The two games prior, he posted outputs of 13 and 14 points and was a combined 7-for-9 from beyond the arc. Hachimura had this to say after scoring 13 points vs. the Memphis Grizzlies on the weekend:

Being around those three guys (James, Doncic, and Reaves), the fit, and we talked about it after the game too. Doe Doe, Gabe (Vincent), myself, I think we can get literally wide-open shots every time. For other teams, they have to guard those three guys literally. So, I think that was a great team win and we got to keep building chemistry.

Hachimura’s scoring props were peaking at 14.5 O/U during his red-hot run in February, but with his minutes limited and his scoring down, his current scoring totals are hovering around double figures.

Player models for tonight’s game with the Golden State Warriors are positive, all coming in above the 10.5-point total with a ceiling of 13.1 points.

My number comes out to 12.5 points from Rui, which should have the Over 10.5 priced around -150. Some other books are up to 11.5 O/U for Hachimura tonight.

Warriors vs Lakers same-game parlay

Rui Hachimura 10+ points

Rui Hachimura 2+ 3-pointers

Lakers moneyline

Hachimura is finding his way back in the Lakers’ lineup and projections call for 12+ points tonight.

Rui will let it fly from outside to keep pace with the Warriors. I like him to hit two or more triples.

The Lakers hold home court and stay in the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference.
