Georgia vs Missouri picks and predictions for November 14

Missouri has had an extra week to prepare for visiting Georgia, but are still almost two-touchdown underdogs against an SEC rival that enters the game with a quarterback controversy.

“Georgia! Ohhhhh Georgia. The whole way PFFFFFFFFT….” You may have heard that song over the past week or so as presidential ballots were counted in the Peach State, but I’m not talking about politics. I’m talking about college football betting, in which we saw the Bulldogs get drilled by the Gators 44-28 last Saturday in Jacksonville.

Yes, I’ve always found that I do my best work when inserting fart sounds into classic arrangements.

Now it’s time for the Dawgs to get back in the win column as they make their way to the Show Me State. Here are our best college football free picks and predictions for No. 11 Georgia at Missouri, with kickoff scheduled for Saturday, November 14 at 12:00 ET in Columbia.

Betting Trend to Know

Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

The Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the season last week as they jumped out to a 14-0 lead over rival Florida, but the Gators kept chomping away and Georgia ended up with an ugly 44-28 home blowout loss. The issue now for Georgia is at quarterback: Stetson Bennett was ineffective and injured and gave way to redshirt freshman D’Wan Mathis, who wasn’t much better in relief. Even worse, that vaunted Dawgs defense allowed Florida to rack up 571 total yards.

Back in Columbia, the Tigers are coming off a bye week and were last seen falling to the Gators as well, 41-17. Quarterback Connor Bazelak calls the shots for Mizzou and has passed for 1,101 yards this season, to go along with four scores and one pick. Larry Rountree III is the go-to guy on the ground for the Tigers, amassing 432 yards this year. However, the Missouri defense is worrisome, giving up 33.0 points per game.

You have to wonder how motivated Georgia will be after suffering such a tough loss to the Gators. Kirby Smart has a decision to make a quarterback, but I’m not sure it really matters here. The Tigers are 3-0 ATS in their last three games at home, and the Dawgs are wounded.

PREDICTION: Missouri +13.5 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

While the Tigers defense can be shaky, I’m a big advocate of teams with extra time to get ready, and the bye should have helped Missouri shore up their issues on that side of the football.

The Georgia offense can be a hard watch and a quarterback controversy is the last thing the Bulldogs need right now. The Under is 7-0 in Missouri’s last seven games against a team with a winning record, and that’s my play.

PREDICTION: Under 48.5 (-110)

Team Total Pick

It really is hard to quantify a situation in which a team like the Bulldogs need to recover so quickly, and I just don’t see it happening.

Regardless of who gets the call at quarterback, I don’t trust the Bulldogs to score a ton of points on the road—especially when Missouri has had two weeks with Georgia on its mind.

PREDICTION: Georgia team total Under 31.5 (-125)
