A staple of those most devoted to college football betting, Hawaii’s offense may let down its supporters this year, including late Saturday night at Oregon State.
Hawaii already has two games under its belt, but neither was exactly a convincing moment for the Rainbows, getting blown out by UCLA and then struggling to put away FCS Portland State.
Oregon State was not particularly impressive either in its 30-21 loss at Purdue. The Beavers hung around into the fourth quarter but could never get a stop when they needed to.

Hawaii vs Oregon State predictions
Oregon State -11 (-110)
After a quick first drive reached the end zone, Oregon State struggled to find a rhythm in Week 1 against Purdue until the fourth quarter. The Boilermakers were not playing terrifically, by any means. The Beavers were just stuck in a Week-1 rut.
By the fourth quarter, when absolutely necessary, they finally broke loose, taking two 75-yard, 7-play drives into the endzone. Putting together two explosive drives — when a drive averages more than 10 yards per play — in one quarter gave a hint of what Oregon State’s offense might be capable of in 2021.
A few hours later, Hawaii did as well, scoring 28 points in the first quarter. That was to be expected. What was not to be expected was giving up 28 points in the second half to Portland State.
If the Vikings could throw for 400 yards on 47 pass attempts against the Rainbows, then the Beavers should be able to, as well. They threw for 285 yards on 38 pass attempts at Purdue, showing some life in the aerial game, and that may be all that is needed to expose Hawaii.
Over 65 (-110)
The criticism of Hawaii’s defensive showing against Portland State was earned, but some accolades should also fall upon quarterback Chevan Cordeiro for his 305 yards and three touchdowns on only 25 pass attempts.
Whether in a close game or a blowout, the Rainbows will keep firing.
And last week, when Oregon State absolutely needed a stop to come back against Purdue, its defense instead gave up two touchdown passes inside the final five minutes. There is absolutely no reason to expect the Beavers to slow a desperate Cordeiro, only outpace him.
