Michigan vs Illinois college football player props

Prop bet #1: Luke Altmyer Over 191.5 pass yards

-115 at BetMGM

Luke Altmyer is coming off his best statistical game of the season for Illinois, throwing for 379 yards and three scores in a 50-49 OT win over Purdue.

That gives him 1,426 yards passing on a crisp 67.7% completion percentage, with 14 TDs against just one pick, and his passing yards prop is at 191.5 this week — a figure he’s crossed in all but one game this season.

Michigan isn't a great pass defense, ranking 114th in the nation at almost 260 passing yards allowed per game, and it's allowed five of six opposing QBs to top this number.

Prop bet #2: Kalel Mullings anytime touchdown

-168 at BetMGM

It was a rough go last week for Michigan running back Kalel Mullings, who put up just 49 yards on 14 carries in a 27-17 loss to Washington.

That broke a three-game streak of amassing more than 111 yards and two rushing scores, but I'm betting on the bounceback here.

Mullings faces an Illini run defense that’s right about in the middle of the pack, giving up 150.5 yards per game and surrendering five rushing touchdowns on the season.

I think he’ll be featured plenty in this matchup as the Wolverines are Top 40 in rushing on the season, with nine rushing scores, and generally struggle to throw the ball with much success.

Prop bet #3: Pat Bryant Over 56.5 receiving yards

-115 at BetMGM

Pat Bryant is Illinois’ leading receiver at 75.5 yards per game, and is coming off a 104-yard effort last week against Purdue — the second time this season he’s gone for over 100 yards.

Bryant has a modest 56.5 receiving line against the Wolverines, a figure he’s topped five times in six games on the year, with the only exception coming two weeks ago against an elite defense in Penn State.

Michigan’s run defense is among the best in the nation, so Illinois should stay to its bread-and-butter: Passing. Look for Altmyer to seek out some deep shots to Bryant, and potentially top this total by halftime.
