Eagles vs 49ers TD props

Deebo Samuel anytime TD (+170)

Cometh the man, cometh the hour, and Deebo Samuel is arguably the 49ers’ most dynamic player. Quite an impressive feat, given that they have the likes of Christian McCaffrey on the roster. McCaffrey is the favorite to score for the Niners but Deebo Samuel seems like the value amongst the shorter-odds 49ers players.

Kyle Shanahan will dial up plenty of creative ways to get the ball in the hands of his best players and it makes sense to back Samuel here. Even in a quiet performance against the Cowboys, he had seven targets and an additional four carries.

Before that, against the Seahawks in the Wildcard Round, he had nine targets and three carries, finding the end zone once. With the game on the line, they’ll look to use Deebo Samuel’s unique skill set to score.

AJ Brown anytime TD (+155)

We all saw how AJ Brown looked against the Giants. He was absolutely raging that he played a fairly small part in the win, hauling in just three of his targets. The last time he had fewer targets was 10 games ago and he’s scored five times since then. He’s only had fewer receiving yards once all season.

The Eagles were so dominant on the ground against the Giants that they didn’t need to rely on Brown. The Niners are one of the best rush defenses in the NFL and have allowed fewer postseason rushing yards on average than any of the remaining teams. In terms of receiving yards allowed, they’ve averaged almost double that allowed by the Eagles per game.

The best way to attack the 49ers is through the air, which means we should see Jalen Hurts targeting Brown often, with him also being key in the red zone.

Elijah Mitchell anytime TD (+400)

Sometimes you don’t place a bet because you think it’s certain to win, sometimes you place it because the value is just far too good to ignore. Backing Elijah Mitchell to score against the Eagles fits into that second category.

With McCaffrey now on the roster, it’s easy to understand why some might overlook Mitchell but odds of +400 for him to find the end zone are insane. He doesn’t offer the same pass-catching upside as CMC but he’s great on the ground.

Since returning from injury in Week 18, he’s played three games, carrying the ball 28 times. Mitchell's 14 carries last week was his second-highest total of the season.

The Eagles are the NFL’s best defense and if the 49ers get themselves within short yardage of the end zone, then I’d think there’s a very good chance we see Mitchell with the rock. At +400, it’s a price that I’m very happy to gamble on.
