Davante Adams Odds and SNF Props: D.A. Shines Under the Sunday Night Lights

We’ve got a tasty Sunday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers rolling into Las Vegas to face the Raiders at the Allegiant Stadium. The Raiders are 2.5-point favorites, according to Week 3 odds, and we’re going to key in on star receiver Davante Adams in this week's SNF spotlight. 

Through two games, Adams has racked up a touchdown on 150 yards receiving, and now the electric wideout faces a tough Steelers defense in what should be an exciting prime-time matchup at Allegiant Stadium.

There are a few attractive ways to bet on Davante Adams in this game, but my favorite play is to target the Las Vegas Raiders No. 1 wide receiver to record Over 5.5 receptions.

So far in both of the Raiders’ first two games of the season, Adams has managed to haul in at least six catches. Now he faces a Pittsburgh Steelers team who are talented on defense but haven’t totally put it together as a unit yet.

In Week 1, we saw the 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk torch the 49ers with eight receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Deebo Samuel also managed five receptions in that game, which was impressive for both players given the success that the team had on the ground with Christian McCaffrey.

In the Steelers' Week 2 win over the Browns, we saw Amari Cooper record seven catches for 90 yards. Through two weeks, the WR1 on the team opposing the Steelers has still been a volume hog.

Given Adams’ profile and what we’ve seen from him throughout his NFL career, it’s a safe assumption that he should see plenty of targets on SNF. I'll confidently back him to be able to convert those targets into receptions and help us cash this prop.

When it comes to these SGPs, we usually include one or two legs based around the player... but in this case, I’m confident in going all in on the Raiders’ star WR.

First up we’ll start with our best bet, as Adams has broken that total in both games so far this season. It's important to note that the Steelers have also given up at least seven receptions to each team’s WR1 that they’ve faced this year.

We’re also backing Adams to go Over 74.5 receiving yards, as other teams' primary weapons have excelled against the Steelers' secondary thus far. Aiyuk and Cooper both smashed 74.5 receiving yards in their games against Pittsburgh, combining for 219 receiving yards. 

Finally, we are backing Davante Adams to find the end zone. He remains one of the league’s best wideouts and scored 14 touchdowns last year in his first season with Las Vegas.
