Wide. Right.

Those were the only two words Buffalo Bills fans did not want to hear as Tyler Bass lined up a game-tying kick in the final moments of the AFC Divisional Round vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. The miss not only brought back haunting memories of the early 90's, but it also signaled three straight Divisional Round exits by the Bills.

After Bass, Josh Allen has come under fire for not doing more to help the team win despite finishing with 72 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and a passing touchdown.

Allen is in line for a massive pay bump this year which sees his salary more than double:

While franchise quarterbacks don't come around every day, would the Bills be crazy enough to part ways with Allen and take their chances on finding the next franchise QB while investing that potential salary elsewhere?

Sportsbooks are now offering odds on which team Allen could suit up for next year — if not the Buffalo Bills. Join me as I break down the NFL odds below!

Josh Allen's situation at a glance

Josh Allen's time in Buffalo has been nothing short of a roller coaster.

He was considered a reach with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but his pure football ability has turned him into one of the elite quarterbacks in the game.

The knock on Allen was his lack of accuracy but that's since improved every year he's been under center. His ability to utilize his big frame and run the football makes him tough to gameplan against.

Allen is prone to turning the ball over and while interceptions seemingly go hand in hand with "gunslinging" QBs, the nonchalant bravado rubs people the wrong way.

Allen is now 5-5 in the postseason with a lone trip to the AFC Championship game. He's lost the last three AFC Divisional Round games, so the questions surrounding his ability to take the Bills to the Super Bowl are starting to arise.

Would Allen be willing to walk away from the Bills in search of greener pastures?

Josh Allen's next team favorite

New York Giants (+225)

Stop me if you've heard this before: "A New York team is linked to one of the game's elite."

It seems like every time a big-name player is potentially looking for a new team, New York is always a preferred destination. This time, the New York Giants kind of make sense for Allen.

For starters, the elements won't phase him going from Orchard Park to East Rutherford. He also has a connection with Brian Daboll from his time in Buffalo.

Not to mention, the Giants have cap space and are in desperate need of a QB to clean up the Daniel Jones/Tommy DeVito/Tyrod Taylor mess.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+600)

I mean no disrespect to Baker Mayfield, but Josh Allen would be a massive upgrade.

Mayfield had a solid season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but if Allen were throwing the football to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin every week (including eight home games with usually pristine conditions), the Bucs could go on a run and take the NFC South by storm for the next handful of seasons.

Denver Broncos (+600)

While the Denver Broncos do appear on this list, I'd avoid them like the plague if I were Allen.

Not only do they play in an incredibly tough division alongside the Chiefs and Chargers (who will be better next year), but Sean Payton does not seem like the kind of guy who would adapt his philosophy to fit Allen's style of play.

Not to mention, Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton are your go-to receivers.

Stay in Buffalo, Josh.

Josh Allen next team odds pick

New York Giants (+225)

While the odds heavily skew towards Josh Allen remaining a Buffalo Bill, if there is one team that makes the most sense, it's the New York Giants. The connection with Daboll is a game-changer and the fact he doesn't have to uproot his life and move all that far should weigh heavily into the decision-making.

Sure, he'd be in a conference with the Cowboys and Eagles, but he'd also be arguably the best QB in the division.
