My Flames analysis
Jonathan Huberdeau has been playing excellent hockey lately, scoring nine points over his last six games — extending his team lead by 55 points through 69 games. Not only has Huberdeau been producing at even strength, but a third of those nine points have come on the power play.
This trend is worth noting against the Seattle Kraken, which ranks 22nd in the league in penalty kill percentage. Seattle’s defense has struggled to limit high-danger scoring chances, ranking in the league's bottom half in xGA/60 over the past two months.
As a result, goaltender Joey Daccord has struggled to handle the play in front of him. Daccord has surrendered three or more goals in eight of his last nine starts.
He is 3-5-1 during that stretch with a .864 SV% and 3.82 GAA. If Daccord allows three or more goals in tonight's game against the Calgary Flames, there’s a strong chance Huberdeau factors into the scoring.
