My analysis
Philadelphia Flyers winger Travis Konecny leads the team with 74 points and 50 assists. He was at a point-per-game pace for most of the season, but his goal-scoring has faded down the stretch.
However, despite seeing a drop in scoring, Konecny’s playmaking has remained top-notch. He is on a four-game point streak with six assists in that span and has an assist in five of his last six contests overall.
Konecny has been reunited with Matvei Michkov and Sean Couturier on the top line for most of that stretch. The trio has played well under interim head coach Brad Shaw, with TK picking up an assist in all four of those contests.
The New York Rangers are in shambles right now. They’ve been outscored 9-1 in their last two games and have allowed at least four goals in three straight. The Flyers also catch a break with backup netminder Jonathan Quick getting the start tonight. He’s 10-6-2 this season with a 3.03 GAA and .898 SV%.
