My Brewers vs Diamondbacks best bet: Brewers moneyline (+150 at FanDuel)

Right-hander Corbin Burnes takes the mound against his former team Saturday evening. While Burnes has historically been a strong pitcher, his performance thus far in 2025 has been concerning.

Through two starts, the right-hander is 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA and 1.93 WHIP. His underlying metrics are equally concerning.

Entering this matchup, Burnes ranks in the bottom third of the league in xERA, average exit velocity, barrel rate, and hard-hit rate.

Meanwhile, right-hander Chad Patrick also takes the mound against his former team.

The Arizona Diamondbacks drafted Patrick in the fourth round of the 2021 MLB Draft but has made his debut for the Milwaukee Brewers this season.

Through three outings, the right-hander is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Patrick’s analytics suggest that further success is likely.

He ranks in the top half of the league in xERA, xBA, average exit velocity, barrel rate, and hard-hit rate.

Milwaukee Brewers moneyline

Jackson Chourio 1+ hits

Sal Frelick 1+ hits

If we are backing Milwaukee to win this game, then we need some of its hitters to contribute. There are perhaps no two better candidates than Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick.

Chourio has gone nuclear since Opening Day, recording a hit in each of his past 13 games. He boasts a .328 batting average over that stretch.

Meanwhile, Frelick is 1-for-3 against Burnes and has recorded 11 hits over the past seven games.
