Blue Jays vs Orioles Prediction, Picks & Odds for Today’s MLB Game

The Baltimore Orioles offense will be well-rested and energized after receiving another day off due to a rainout and they will look to seize that opportunity to show that Toronto Blue Jays picther, Bowden Francis, will be no match for them at home.

The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles begin a two-game set this afternoon at Camden Yards.

Bowden Francis has had minimal success against Baltimore, and I’ll explain why I expect the hosts to swing it well in my Blue Jays vs. Orioles predictions.

Keep reading for my MLB picks for Saturday, April 12.

My Blue Jays vs Orioles best bet: Bowden Francis Over 2.5 earned runs (-110 at Bet365)

Bowden Francis has been quite solid since coming up to the big leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays. He had a 1.73 ERA out of the bullpen in 2023, then posted a 3.30 ERA last season in a role where he started and relieved.

So far in 2025, the righty has thrown the ball well. In two starts, he has a 1-1 record and 3.18 ERA, striking out 10 in 11.1 innings of work. While he’s yet to face the Baltimore Orioles this season, they’ve hit him around in the past.

In 2024, Francis made three appearances versus Baltimore, going 1-0 with a 5.79 ERA. He gave up nine earned runs in just 14 innings. As for his career against the O’s? Francis has a 5.03 ERA, allowing 11 earned runs in 19.2 frames.

Baltimore’s lineup is slashing .267 vs. Francis, with Gunnar Henderson and Ryan Mountcastle in particular swinging it very well against him. Francis will surrender some runs today to one of the better offenses in baseball.

Blue Jays vs Orioles same-game parlay (SGP)

Bowden Francis Over 2.5 earned runs

Ryan Mountcastle Over 0.5 hits

George Springer Over 0.5 hits

Ryan Mountcastle is one of the best hitters in this Orioles lineup. Although he’s yet to leave the yard through 13 games, the veteran is hitting .268 so far. The main reason I’m eyeing this bet is due to his success against Francis.

Last season, Mountcastle slashed .714 versus the Blue Jays starter with five hits in just seven at-bats. That included two home runs and six RBI as well. He’s also registered Over 0.5 hits in three of his last five games and has historically had success against Toronto, batting .303 lifetime.

George Springer leads the entire MLB with a .429 average. He continues to tear the cover off the baseball, smacking 18 hits in 42 at-bats while going deep twice as well. The outfielder has at least one hit in three of his last four games.

Springer was 1 for 4 in the series finale against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday and also enjoyed himself against the Orioles earlier in the campaign, batting .364 in the four-game set that began the regular season.
