Jets vs Kings Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NHL Game

The Winnipeg Jets own the best offense in the NHL with 89 goals in 22 games. A trip to LA to face the Kings may prove tough, but Tony Satori believes the offense will still continue to produce. Find out more below.

The Winnipeg Jets travel to Los Angeles to take on the Kings on Wednesday evening at Crypto.com Arena and the NHL odds have Winnipeg as a -111 favorite.

Winnipeg possesses the best record in hockey, and my Jets vs. Kings predictions believe that its offense will once again prove difficult to stop.

Read on for my NHL picks for Wednesday, November 27.

Jets vs Kings prediction

My Jets pick
Jets team total Over 2.5 (-156 at Pinnacle)

My Jets analysis
Let’s get the easy part out of the way: the Winnipeg Jets possess one of the best offenses in hockey, if not the best. Winnipeg ranks first in goals scored per game, third in shooting percentage, and 10th in xGF/60.

So, why is the Jets’ team total only requiring a -156 payment on a 2.5-team total when they are averaging 4.05 goals scored per game? Well, the Los Angeles Kings are one of the stingiest two-way teams in the league.

With that said, every team has a flaw, and Los Angeles’ is its inability to stay out of the penalty box. This season, the Kings rank 27th in penalty minutes taken per game.

This flaw is going to likely generate problems against Winnipeg, a team that is first in the league with a dominant 33.8% power play. Additionally, Los Angeles is slated to start David Rittich between the pipes.

Through 13 appearances in the crease this year, Rittich possesses a .883 SV%.

If the San Jose Sharks can hang seven goals on Rittich and the Kings, which occurred on Monday, then so can Winnipeg.

Finally, the Jets have scored three or more goals in 15 of their past 19 games.

Jets vs Kings Odds analysis

Winnipeg opened as a -111 favorite and remains at that price at the time of writing. The market is likely to keep this game around a pick ‘em, given that both teams rank in the top seven in expected goal differential per 60 minutes.

The total opened at 5.5 with -111 toward the Over, and considering that the market will not push this total lower than 5.5, the only direction for this line to move is up.
