Get ready for an electric matchup tonight between Atlantic Division foes as the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Arena.
Toronto looks to end a four-game skid and may need some help from Tampa tormenter William Nylander to get it done — opening the door for us to capitalize on his NHL player props.

Lightning vs Maple Leafs predictions
The Toronto Maple Leafs hope to end a four-game losing streak tonight when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
You don’t have to think too far back to remember the last game between these two teams a couple of weeks ago when the Leafs came back to beat the Lightning 4-3 in overtime.
I expect a similar score in tonight’s game since neither side has been able to figure things out defensively. However, Tampa has struggled even more when on the road this season, posting a 1-3-1 record while allowing 4.4 goals per game.
Enter a William Nylander anytime goal prop.
Sure, Auston Matthews is the hot name coming off a hat-trick performance Saturday night, but Nylander has been the most productive Leafs player in this matchup over the past few years, with 14 points in his last 10 games. Of those 14 points, eight of them have been goals.
The Leafs star forward has scored in four straight regular-season contests and at least one goal in eight of the last nine meetings against the Lightning. At plus money, I anticipate him to continue that pace and make it five straight games with a geno.
Additionally, Nylander has been a shooting machine to start the year, sitting third in the NHL with 51 shots on net through 11 games for an average of 4.6 per night. Given the Bolts rank 28th in shots given up per game with the sixth-highest expected goals against in the NHL, one of those shots from Willy should make its way into the back of the net to break his three-game goalless skid.
My best bet: William Nylander anytime goalscorer (+135 at SIA)

Lightning vs Maple Leafs same-game parlay
For tonight’s same-game parlay, I’m anticipating a high-scoring game for both sides.
For starters, I like for the Leafs to go Over their team total of 3.5. Tampa has given up four goals in three straight games and averages 4.4 goals against on the road. Toronto’s top line is heating up and should continue to generate scoring opportunities against a team that’s been giving up a lot of quality chances defensively while getting subpar goaltending.
For the final leg of my parlay, I’m taking the Over of 6.5. I’ve already established how poor Tampa’s defense and goaltending have been, however, Toronto hasn’t been much better either. Both teams rank in the Bottom 10 in expected goals against, and the Leafs are giving up an average of 4.4 goals on home ice themselves. Look for plenty of tallies from both sides as per usual with this matchup.

Lightning vs Maple Leafs moneyline and Over/Under analysis
The Maple Leafs enter tonight as -155 favorites on the moneyline, with Tampa getting +125 odds as the underdog. It looks like 67% of the handle is coming in on Toronto, and I’d side with the public there considering the Leafs are 5-1 in their last six against the Bolts.
The total for tonight’s game is set at 6.5 goals, with the Over favored at -125 and the Under paying +105. There have been 7+ goals in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams. Given the shaky goaltending and swiss cheese defensive play from both clubs, I would expect a busy night for the lamp operators.
